Yesterday for lunch I tried a new place for me, Brava Rotisserie Grill in the Indian Springs/Hoover area.  Their menu features Mediterranean-inspired made-from-scratch meals of rotisserie chicken, pork loin and grilled shrimp as well as an array sandwiches, salads, soups, and a great selection of side dishes.  I was having a tough time making a decision because it all sounded good, but I finally decided to try the Grilled Shrimp Caesar Wrap with a side of fries that were tossed with manchego cheese and fresh herbs.  They were … (13 comments)

Briarwood Presbyterian Church will have their 3rd Annual Flea Market this Friday, July 29th from Noon to 6 PM and Saturday, July 30th from 8 AM to 2 PM.  This year the flea market will feature over 80 vendors and will take place in the church gym, lunchroom and surrounding outdoor areas.  Cash only and please...no bills larger than $50.  A percentage of the proceeds will benefit Grace House Ministries.

Did you hear about the little kitten that was rescued after being thrown from a moving car on the Verrazano Bridge in New York City?  Only five weeks old, Verrazano was not hurt and is in the care of a volunteer with Animal Care & Control of NYC until he will be old enough in a few weeks to be adopted.  There has been a tremendous response from many people, even a bunch of celebrities who want to adopt this little kitten.
