YOU MUST FILE BY JULY 18, 2011 DEADLINE!
It is not necessary to have all documentation at the time of filing so do not let that prevent you from filing right away. You will not be able to receive assistance from FEMA or the SBA if you miss this deadline!
Are you a tornado survivor in need of legal assistance? Today (Wednesday June 22nd) lawyers from Birmingham and Bessemer will be volunteering at the new Bessemer Courthouse from 9 AM to 2 PM to help storm victims. If you lost legal documents, are having problems with insurance settlements or other issues, this is a great service provided at no charge to you.

Tornado victims who lost their glasses during the April storms have several opportunities receive free eye exams and glasses thanks to a joint project with Vision Service Plan (VSP), an eye insurance provider that serves communities during times of disaster and UAB's School of Optometry.

Tomorrow (May 12th) agents from Keller Williams Hoover will be working in the Holly Pond community in Cullman County to assist with the cleanup effort from the damage suffered during the April 27th tornadoes. On this day - RED DAY - thousands of Keller Williams agents across the United States and Canada will be participating in various service projects within their communities to "Renew|Energize|Donate". If you are looking for a way to help those in need we would love to have you join us tomorrow! Give me a call and I can fill you in on the details.
Please stop by the Keller Williams Metro South office in Alabaster to donate blood today (Monday, May 9th). So many of you have already responded to requests for blood and may not be able to donate again this soon, but you can still help by bringing clothing, water bottles, diapers and other non-perishable items that are being collected for victims of the April 27th tornadoes. The need is great and ongoing, but together we can make a difference and help our neighbors.
Randy Robbins, a student at the University of Alabama, has written an account of his experience when a monster tornado blew through Tuscaloosa on April 27th. When I look at the photos of obliterated property and landscapes it is amazing how someone can survive a direct hit of something as powerful as that. Randy did, but his story is terrifying. Today, Monday May 2nd, the Bloodmobile will be at Victory GMC in Calera from 11 AM - 5 PM. PLEASE DONATE! Blood supplies are critically low and the need is great. This is one of many ways we can support relief efforts going on in the wake of the recent tornado outbreak.

I loved watching William and Kate's wedding. It was a very welcome relief and temporary escape from all the sorrow that our neighbors and too many others across the region are dealing with right now.
The outpouring of concern for my family and friends.....all the emails, text messages and phone calls have meant more than you can know and have touched me deeply.
