When real estate agents get calls from clients these days, they usually ask a question: Have you qualified for a home loan?
The question ensures the agent doesn't waste time with a client who's not serious about buying.
But there's another reason to ask - safety.

I was recently reading Joel Osteen's new book It's Your Time and came across a page that I thought might inspire everyone, Realtors, buyers and sellers. If you've never heard of Joel Osteen, he is the pastor of Lakewood Church in Houston, one of the largest churches in America. He has a tv show and has written many great books. The ones I've read are Live Your Best Life and Become a Better You. They are very encouraging and inspiring and I highly recommend reading them. Here's the selection from the book.

This is the neighborhood park in the Mountainview Neighborhood. It is located at Bishop and Mountainview Dr. behind Mountainview Elementary School. The park is closed to the public during school hours because it is the playground for the school. But on weekends and in the evenings it is always busy.
I often see birthday partys and cookouts being held there.
There are tennis courts, basketball courts, a track, a spray park and of course the playground. The "firetruck" you see in the picture was installed about 2 years ago thanks to the Waco Fire Department. And more new equiptment is … (0 comments)

Waco and Mclennan County residential home sales figures for August 2010 - 09/13/10 01:26 PM
In August 152 residential properties were sold in Waco and McLennan County. As of August 1st,there were 276 pending sales ( sales under contract waiting to close) . They had an average list price of $160,595 and an average sold price of $153,227 with an average of 125 days on the market.
Compare this to August of 2009 when there were 227 properties sold with an average list price of $141,800 and an average sold price of $135,831 with an average of 139 days on the market.
