America's Top States for Business as assimilated by CNBC's fourth annual list includes Colorado in the number 3 spot!  Ranked below Texas and Virginia in the list that was released Tuesday, Colorado placed in the top 10 for quality of life, business friendliness, economy and workforce.  The Denver Post business blurb that cited the CNBC list also ranked Colorado in the top 15 for technology and innovation and for access to capital.
This makes Colorado not only one of the most desirable states because of recreational opportunities, but is now confirmed as a great place to conduct business!  Those of us who … (0 comments)

Finally...Help in the Jumbo Borrowing Market - 07/14/10 05:52 PM
Smart Money reports great news for high-end borrowers!  Jumbo mortgage rates are at their lowest since 2003.  A senior financial analyst at Bankrate.com is quoted as saying loans above $729,750, not backed by Fannie or Freddie, that have been in the 6.8% range have now moved lower to the 5.4% range.  Keith Gumbinger with HSH Associates, a publisher of consumer loan information, concurs that jumbo loans are really beginning to be competitively priced.  Spokespersons for both Citibank and Bank of America believe that they are offering competitive rates on jumbos.  Bank of America's Vijay Lala adds that jumbos are starting in the 5% range … (0 comments)

How fun and thought provoking it would be to have discussions on public policy with experts and former policy makers!  Well, here in Steamboat, you can.
