Social Media Branding for REALTORS® - Online Real Estate Marketing
It's amazing the amount of work it takes to put a class together for me. It took me three weeks of work after hours to come up with 38 slides and guidebook for my social media branding class.  I'm blown away by the amount of energy and creativity it takes to set up just one class and commend all the teachers in the world who do this on a daily basis.
Thank you for your incredible dedication to the craft of teaching!

2011 Business Strategies for REALTORS® - Online Real Estate Marketing
Planning for success in 2011 takes a ton of energy, but it's worth the effort! Last year, I taught a class where only 5% of the attending REALTORS® had completed a real estate sales business plan for 2011! I couldn't believe how many real estate agents didn't have a plan completed yet! How are you supposed to run a business without a plan showing you what direction you are going to take for the forthcoming year?
I found out from many of the REALTORS® in the class who didn't complete a … (7 comments)

Social Media Marketing for REALTORS® - Online Real Estate Marketing
It's been awhile since I've posted anything on AR! I've been so busy with my work and life events. I've also been busy Social Media Marketing and branding to my local real estate agents at the North Bay Association of REALTORS®. My classes have basically been a live demonstration and dryboard illustration of my thoughts and ideas. They've been very successful and educational to all who've participated, but I felt I needed to take the classes to a whole new level by creating powerpoint presentations of all my classes.
It's a … (2 comments)

Apple’s Top Free Real Estate Related iphone apps for Realtors and home buyers in Sonoma County Wine Country
This Christmas, Santa was very generous and gave me an iphone 3G from Apple. Ever since I got the iphone, I’ve been glued to the screen learning about its features and its many applications. My wife is probably going to take the iphone away from me soon if I don’t stop looking at it every 5 minutes! Anyway, in the interest of the real estate world that I’m a part of, I thought it would be appropriate to see what kind of apps … (18 comments)

real estate: How would you like to sell houses with this technique? - 01/02/10 02:47 AM
I found this video today that just blew my mind. The company, called NuFormer Digital Media, has a way to create 3-D images and project them onto a building using the building's multilayered features as part of the image. Now, it looks to me like you need a large surface area to make these projections, but I can foresee having this used on a smaller scale as the technology evolves. Can you imagine driving by a house at night to see one of these projections on the front of the house? Hmm. Enjoy.

real estate: If someone says something negative about you online, what should you do? - 12/29/09 08:31 AM

If someone says something negative about you online, what should you do?
After reading several posts on AR about online marketing, I decided to follow the advice on one of the postings here about online reputation management. I've forgotten who wrote the post, but you can look it up easily enough. Based on the advice, I set up an account with StepRep and Google Alerts to help me find out what others are saying about me and to see how effective my online marketing efforts were going. It's a very simple process and it's automated once you set it up. Before … (10 comments)

real estate: Blogging and Time Management - 12/18/09 11:58 PM

Brad Andersohn is a wonderful ambassador for Activerain. He is one of the elite in my book. I love reading his work because I'm always learning something new. This post is a wonderful summary of things I say to my agents when I talk about Activerain. I'm just not as good at writing it down as Brad is. Besides, I'm taking his advise and leveraging my time with this repost. :-)

One of the common concerns I hear from people about Blogging, is that they just don't have the time.  Seriously though, we live in a world where Starbucks … (4 comments)

Santa Rosa Home Loans - New Standardized Good Faith Estimate Effective January 1 2010
Loreena Yeo is one of my favorite writers on AR. She's very clear, honest and thorough with her blogs. This post about the new GFE is one of the best summaries I've seen and I wanted to reblog it to share it with my local agents in Santa Rosa, CA. I couldn't have come close to Loreena's quality here! We are going to be dealing with a whole new set of rules and regulations for 2010, so get ready for the wave of changes! It's going to … (4 comments)

Tis' the Season for Giving - Send Google Juice to your fellow Activerainers!

If you haven't noticed, the holidays are just around the corner already! I am scrambling to find fun and unique gifts for our friends and family. Last week, at a party, a friend of mine said the gift of time is one of the most precious gifts you can give. So, he's taking the time to make most of his presents by hand.
A light bulb kicked in and I realized I can give a little of my time on AR! I'll give my fellow activerainers google … (6 comments)

Santa Rosa CA Real Estate Agent on Activerain - Craig Bassignani

Craig Bassignani is a Real Estate Agent in Santa Rosa, Ca who has mastered the art of SEO for the Sonoma County Real Estate Market. What amazes me about Craig is that he taught himself how to write html and how to build his web presence for the Santa Rosa, CA Real Estate Market. His ability to build his own website and optimize it must come from the things he learned in the constuction business.
Craig was a general contractor and foundation specialist in the Sonoma County Wine … (3 comments)

Sonoma County Real Estate - The Professor from Healdsburg is in the House!

If you've ever seen his pictures of the area, you'll swear he lives in a piece of heaven within the heart of the Sonoma County Wine Country! It may explain the calm and gentle demeanor Dave has with his writing style. I've learned quite a bit from Dave in my short time here on Activerain and I know I'm going to learn more from him as well as many others on AR. … (6 comments)

real estate: I made it on Patrica Kennedy's GOOD list! - 11/30/09 09:01 AM
I made it on Patricia Kennedy's GOOD list!

Patricia Kennedy is a Real Estate Agent at Evers and Company Realtors in Washington DC. She spends a fair amount of time posting a nice summary of all the unfeatured blogs she's read during the week and thinks are worth reading. I've been a follower ever since I read one of her postings and thought how nice it was to read some of those blogs she's mentioned. She has made a name for herself by consistently posting her summary every week. I'm amazed by her discipline!

Sonoma County Wine Country, California - Cycling through the Fall Colors

Cycling in Sonoma County is one of the best ways to experience the Wine Country's beautiful countryside. I love going for a nice 25 bike ride in the morning. If I'm really into it, I'll lose myself on a 50 miler through Santa Rosa, Windsor, Healdsburg, Napa, Sonoma, Petaluma or Sebastopol. Cycling is my favorite form of exercise and a great stress reliever. I wrote about this in one of my posts called Sonoma County Wine Country Top Ten Secret's Exposed.

Top Santa Rosa Real Estate Agents and Realtors Maximize MLS Searches with Staged Homes
Yesterday, I went on a Real Estate Agent MLS tour of the latest open houses in Bennett Valley in Santa Rosa, California. As a Sonoma County home mortgage consultant, I like to be familiar with the latest inventory in my area so I can work more effectively with my top real estate agents and Realtors, and their buyers. It's always nice to be familiar with a property that's listed on the Multiple Listing Service, otherwise known as MLS.
What really caught my eye was a property that was beautifully staged. At … (0 comments)

Are you addicted to Activerain? Here's a cure that will tickle your funny bone.

Last week as I was perusing my rankings on Activerain, I noticed one of my loan officers took a leap over me in rankings so I called him to see what he did to move up so quickly. Since he just started this process, I was really curious to see what steps he took. I figured he would share with me since I introduced him to Activerain.I told him I would start putting more effort into my activities because I needed to be a … (6 comments)
