There is plenty to do with the Harley 105th Anniversary upon us...
I started my day enjoying breakfast at Bakers Square with a friend.  Not realizing it may be busy - VERY, VERY busy. 
It was delightful to see the Restaurant so busy.  Out of towners - and ALL seemed to be enjoying their stay.  As we talked we watched a steady stream of Harley owners (and a few other brands....) coming and going.
One couple had the cutest little dog riding in a pack on the bike.  They zipped him up in his carrier and brought him inside - … (6 comments)

HOG owners are converging on Milwaukee for the 105th Anniversary party starting this week.  It's time for the "Milwaukee Rally".
Harley - Davidson 105th Anniversary!  Can't believe it was already 5 years ago --- the 100th Anniversary Celebration, seems like yesterday.
5 years ago I was driving back home from a NASCAR race in Bristol Tennessee, and was joined by many, many Harley riders!  The weather was gorgeous, lots of sunburns out there.  I was happy to see so many tourists coming to Milwaukee.

I spent the last 2 days at the Wisconsin State Fair.  What a great time to be had by all!

Now that the Green Bay Packer/Brett Favre Soap Opera story is over ...... - 08/09/08 03:20 PM
What in the world am I going to blog about?  I've really gotten caught up in the whole Brett Favre saga. 
Now it's back to real estate and what can I write to add to Localism?  It is summer and there are a million things to do.... but I can't seem to forget...it's like something / someone has died.....
I really am sad about Brett.  I really like the Packers, as I have been a fan since I was old enough to say "Bart Starr".  My Dad loved 'em - so I did.  What more can I say?

The Green Bay Packers and the New York Jets have made a trade.  Brett Favre will now play in a different color green uniform. 
I understand he will feel right at home with being able to go hunting 5 minutes away from practice.   That probably helped with the negotiations!  Lots of open land nearby to do one of his favorite things - hunt, fish, etc.
The Packers did not want to see Brett play anywhere in their Division.  They knew he'd be a challenge for their team!  And boy what would happen if they had to play against him in … (24 comments)

Well, on with the Brett Favre saga.  The fans in Wisconsin are sure tired of this story!!  Brett boarded a jet in Green Bay around lunch time.  He is headed back to Mississippi.  He was escorted by the police from his home to the air field.  He left with more luggage than he came with.  My guess - he has said good-bye to his home in Green Bay.
If I sold real estate up there, I'd be a knockin on his door....

The Bay View Neighborhood Association hosts the "Neighbor of the Night" competition.  The Neighbor of the Night is crowned King and/or Queen of the Hill and are provided with special accommodations.  (Seating in the Miller Chill VIP tent area for one)
Tuesday evenings, join the neighbors at the Humboldt Park Band Shell for an evening of music and fun.
Parking is available - and plenty of it.  Bring your lawn chairs and blankets.
Refreshments are available from the Milwaukee County Parks concessions truck.

Yep, it's that time of year again.  Once a year you can get your Creme Puffs!  From July 31st to August 10th.

Morning Creme Puff Pick ups at 6:00 am continue every morning of the Fair.  Go to Gate 4 at the Transit Center.  Available 6 - 8 am daily.  Or call about delivery program for orders of 10 dozen or more within a 15 mile radius of the Fair.

1.  Harley Davidson
2.  Green Bay Packers
How can you tell?  By what people name their pets!!  And the clothing they wear.
Everyone has a Packers Jersey - and most have a #4 Brett Favre Jersey - like my hubby...

Then there are the pets - Many are named "Brett" and "Harley" --- I'll have to do a survey to which is more popular....

There is just nothing like the Wisconsin State Fair.  This year will be no different.  Come out for a good time. 
There is music, food, livestock, carnival rides and tents, fun for the whole family, and much more.
I never miss the State Fair.  My favorites at the fair are:
Taking in a show at the Grandstand.  This year I will see Josh Turner.  In years past  Alan Jackson was my favorite.  Alan doesn't make it to Wisconsin much these days!  The main acts in the evening are crowd pleasers.  This year featuring Blake Shelton, Doodlebops Live!, Gladiators Fighting "MMA … (0 comments)
