Welcome to my Blog, this is April Hayden-Munson's Blog. It is Independence Day once again! There are parades, fests and fireworks everywhere! Here is a list of Parades, Fireworks and Fourth of July Celebrations and Fests. This list includes Milwaukee, Brookfield, Wauwatosa, Waukesha, Pewaukee well - all the suburbs! For fun on this Independence Day stop out at a local parade!
Milwaukee
Alcott Park: July 4 - The parade assembly marches into Alcott Park at 9 a.m., where children will receive free ice cream. There will also be children's games and contests all day. The fireworks ground display starts at 9:15 … (3 comments)

festivals: Oktoberfest in Germantown Wisconsin - 09/27/08 02:31 PM
Be sure to make it out to The Oktoberfest Celebration at Dheinsville Park in Germantown.
Admission:  FREE
Parking:  FREE
Enjoy dancing under the large tent, relax to the sounds coming from the hexagonal pavilion or enjoy some food!
One specialty to make sure not to miss is the "kastuffel puffer" (potato pancakes).  Sales by the high school's German honor roll students.
There is also a silent auction with traditional German gift baskets.  The baskets are on display at the Bast Bell Museum located on the corners of Maple., Hwy 145 and Holy Hill Roads.

festivals: Waukesha Wisconsin Harley 105th The Fest Thunders West - 08/29/08 04:19 PM
Come on out and enjoy the FREE concerts for celebration of Harley's 105th Anniversary.
Downtown Streets - Motorcycles Only for the event.  Shuttle service is available for all from Waukesha Expo parking lot.  Only $5 for those of you without your 2 wheels....
The party is at the heart of Historic Downtown Waukesha - from Cutler Park to Riverfront Street.

festivals: Waukesha County Fair Waukesha Wisconsin - 07/17/08 07:28 PM
Come on out to the fair.  The event runs Thursday July 17 - Sunday July 30th        
Riding a Harley? All motorcycle parking is free!
General Admission includes entry to main stage!

Food - Taste local and traveling vendors food
Fun - Something for everyone!
Music - Stages with several bands daily.  Friday at the Miller Lite Main Stage hear Soul Asylum & Everclear - 8 PM
Saturday Hear Tesla, and Sunday Drew Davis Band and Hootie and the Blowfish at 6 PM 
Children's Tent - Karate, Karaoke, Bubble Gum Blowing Contest for all ages

festivals: Milwaukee Lakefront Weekend Summer Events - 07/15/08 06:36 PM
The Milwaukee lakefront is THE place to be in the summertime.  I really enjoy all the festivals.  In addition there are so many local festivals to enjoy also.  The fests shown below are yearly events at the Lakefront - also known as "Summerfest grounds" at the Henry Maier Festival Park.

festivals: Polish Fest Milwaukee Wisconsin June 20 - 22 - 05/31/08 05:21 PM
It's that time of year.  Time to head out for Polish Fest at the Maier Festival Park.  (also known as Summerfest Grounds)


Polish Fest was recently selected by the American Bus Association as one of the 2008 Top 100 Events in North America!
Like Polka?  Come out to hear the bands.  Many stages of entertainment.
Lots of food!
Something for everyone.

Polka Fest... I mean, Polish Fest is open from noon - midnight Friday and Saturday.  Noon to 10 pm on Sunday.

festivals: A Taste of Summer in Waukesha Wisconsin June 4 - 8th - 05/31/08 05:03 PM
Always a family favorite, the Taste of Summer returns to Waukesha next week on June 4th - 8th.
The festivities are located at the County Expo Center, 1000 Northview Rd., Waukesha
Hours:  Wednesday through Friday 4 - 11 pm.
               Saturday and Sunday 11am to 11 pm
This festival offers multiple stages of musical entertainment -
Emerson Drive David Cassidy Bret Michaels Dennis DeYoung OneRepublic and Roger Hodgson
ALSO:  There are Carnival rides, the All American Lumberjack show, Bob Bohm's family entertainment, Jim Mitchell's Magic, Laser light show, Team Extreme and Much More!
