Welcome to my Blog, this is April Hayden-Munson's Blog. It is Independence Day once again! There are parades, fests and fireworks everywhere! Here is a list of Parades, Fireworks and Fourth of July Celebrations and Fests. This list includes Milwaukee, Brookfield, Wauwatosa, Waukesha, Pewaukee well - all the suburbs! For fun on this Independence Day stop out at a local parade! Milwaukee Alcott Park: July 4 - The parade assembly marches into Alcott Park at 9 a.m., where children will receive free ice cream. There will also be children's games and contests all day. The fireworks ground display starts at 9:15 (3 comments)

Be sure to make it out to The Oktoberfest Celebration at Dheinsville Park in Germantown. Admission: FREE Parking: FREE Enjoy dancing under the large tent, relax to the sounds coming from the hexagonal pavilion or enjoy some food! One specialty to make sure not to miss is the "kastuffel puffer" (potato pancakes). Sales by the high school's German honor roll students. There is also a silent auction with traditional German gift baskets. The baskets are on display at the Bast Bell Museum located on the corners of Maple., Hwy 145 and Holy Hill Roads. The Milwaukee lakefront is THE place to be in the summertime. I really enjoy all the festivals. In addition there are so many local festivals to enjoy also. Polish Fest was recently selected by the American Bus Association as one of the 2008 Top 100 Events in North America! Like Polka? Come out to hear the bands. Many stages of entertainment.
