real estate: 2008 off to a great start - 01/10/08 11:23 PM

I've talked to other agents and they are equally busy showing … (3 comments)

real estate: Update from NAR - Thursday -- Hispanic Markets - 11/15/07 11:19 PM
Today's favorite speaker was Brenda who spoke about the Hispanic Market.  Do you know that 40% of baby boomers are in the Hispanic Segment.  That is HUGE!
Do you need to speak Spanish or be of Hispanic origin to target this segment?  NO!  provide them with what they want and need and they will be your clients for LIFE.  Better yet, they will refer their friends to you!
An overview in General.  Those people age 30-87 want information provided to them.  The older crowd need you to walk (talk) them through the information, the mid set want you to provide them with paperwork … (2 comments)

real estate: NAR - 11/08/07 01:33 AM
Off to National Association of Realtors convention next week in Sin City (Las Vegas).   Not only is the location great, but the learning opportunities will be phenominal.  I think this is a very important event that anyone who is serious about this chosen profession should attend.  I've worked in various aspects for the last 23 years, but always held to the belief that you have to have a passion for what you do and do what you do the best possible regardless of what the payment is.
I'm serious about this and just eat up everything related to Real Estate.  I'll … (2 comments)

This year they decided they wanted to relocate and purchase a business in the area.  We will close on that in January, in the meantime they decided they wanted to purchase an additional home to live in, since the first was rented out.  (Yes that is … (0 comments)

Buying a home can be a delightful yet stressful situation.  However, the first-time home buyer has the fear of the unknown.  You may have questions about how the whole process works?  How do you make an offer?  What happens if it is accepted, countered or rejected?  Do you have to pay an agent?  What sort of expenses can you expect to incur?
You may have started your search on the Internet.  80% of home buyers start their search on the internet.  Once you contact an agent to discuss looking for home, they will should speak with you about two things:

real estate: Correction - 09/30/07 01:25 AM
So I guess I will finally cave and say that the market it correcting itself.  Here in Columbia, MO we have been pretty isolated from that fact since really real estate is loca.  Lately we have seen a down turn in the 300-400 range of sales.  Which is fine except there are so many of those on the market.  Still a great time for first home buyers though.  There are a lot of great homes out there in the 125-200 range.  A great opportunity for those looking to purchase thier first home.
What have other around the county in similar local's … (0 comments)
