One of my very favorite parts about having the furniture & home decor showroom is when shipments arrive - I clearly need to get out more! - but the anticipation is high when we have an order en route....
This week, a home accessories order was delivered and did not disappoint!  Here are photos of some of the new inventory:
Hmm....perhaps I should have ordered more colorful pieces...  ;)  Don't worry, we have a lot of those on hand, too!
I hope to have everything new inventoried by the weekend, and then priced and uploaded to our Phoenix Home Decor page.

My latest marketing struggle "challenge" is to try to come up with a memorable yet concise name for our new website, which will exclusively market our Tuscan-style furniture.  Here are photos of some of the pieces:



 
 
I welcome any name suggestions for the website - it's SO DIFFICULT to settle on one, that I am hoping for outside inspiration!

Furniture & Home Decor moving sale - but on what day...? Saturday, Sunday, or both...? - 08/29/10 11:37 AM
Due to the massive increase in business and our container of 200+ Tuscan furniture pieces en route, we are going to be moving to a much bigger facility, complete with a loading dock - YAY!  Our new site will have more than double the square footage we currently have, and we could not be more excited! Anyone who knows me knows I *HATE* moving.  Rather than move all the furniture and home decor accessories we have in inventory, I'd rather have a big 'ol sale - my dilemma is, "which day of the week to hold it....?".  We held one in … (0 comments)

UPDATE on Salt River Fields at Talking Stick - Spring Training facility for Diamondbacks, Rockies under construction! - 08/16/10 09:51 AM
Good morning!
There is a great article on azcentral today, giving updates and raving about the design of the now under-construction Salt River Fields at Talking Stick.  This facility will be the Spring Training site for both the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies come February 2011.
Construction is right on schedule, and with the site about a mile from our home, we see massive amounts of progress - it seems to be flying up!

Accent Colors - how many is too many....? "You know you have too many accent colors when...." - 08/11/10 03:41 PM
Earlier this week, I met with new Vacation Home Furnishing clients here in Scottsdale.  They had seen the 2 bed, 2 bath condo they bought only once before, when it was fully furnished.  The previous owner had a LOT of oversized, way-too-big-for-the-rooms furniture, that - once removed - brought to the forefront how many different accent colored walls were there. Any guesses...? Remember:  2 bedroom, 2 bath condo. ELEVEN.  Yes, 11. My first suggestion...?  "Here's my painter's number!". Naturally, the clients did not resist this idea!

Furniture Trends for 2010, 2011 - photos from Furniture Market! - 08/07/10 02:37 PM
I was at Las Vegas Furniture Market this week - a bi-annual show encompassing 38 FLOORS of furniture, home decor, and gift items.  It's always an amazing event and I learn a lot!This market, we saw 2 trends continuing strongly:1.  Reclaimed/recycled woods.  This is a lifestyle choice for many that want to live "green".  Others just love the look!  Reusing or refinishing old timber, furniture, etc is a great way to reduce our carbon footprints.  The photo to the left shows a reclaimed buffet by Classic Home.  Each piece is unique, and most of the wood seems to come from India … (3 comments)

I have a BIG favor to ask - I made the top 10 designers nationwide in a competition hosted by Kirklands.  The top 5 vote-getters make the designer panel which would be HUGE exposure for myself and Argent Decor.
