scottsdale: Spring Allergies...? Here's some tips to help minimize your suffering! - 04/05/11 12:50 PM
It's that time of year (here in Phoenix, anyways) when pollen is going nuts and allergy sufferers are, well, suffering.  This spring hasn't been AS bad for me in recent years, but here's some tips to minimize your miserableness:
1.  Shower before bed.  You pick up pollen all day on your hair, clothes, and skin - don't take it to bed with you!
2.  Stay indoors during peak pollen hours of 10-4.  If you excercise outdoors (not an issue for me!), do so in the early morning, when pollen counts are lowest.

scottsdale: Models behaving badly - what is this world coming to...?!?! - 06/17/10 12:20 AM
We all know the real estate market is not at its peak right now, and many home builders are cutting back on expenses, marketing, and "frills" to make ends meet.  It's starting to show, and not in a good way!
I spent some time last week touring Model Home Complexes for a few local builders.  I wanted to let the sales staff know about our furnishing service, as well as see what builders and decorators were showing.  Let me tell you - it's not much!  Many of our local home builders are not furnishing their models, or only doing what looks … (3 comments)

scottsdale: New concrete floor going into Argent Decor's showroom tomorrow - THANKS, Arizona Custom Concrete! - 07/01/09 06:58 PM
Well, a minor setback in my move-in plans for the showroom....
Landlord told us that there was a layer of carpet, then pad that wasn't glued down on the concrete, so we were going to stain it.  Turns out, there were TWO layers of carpet, and pad - which was fastened with an industrial adhesive at EVERY SQUARE INCH!  UGH!
Now that we've paid a crew to go in and scrape the floor in 3" wide strips at a time, the floor is certainly not stainable.  Plan B?  ARIZONA CUSTOM CONCRETE!  They are going to lay a "Decorative Concrete Overlay" on … (0 comments)

I submitted an application with photos of my work and some of my design philosophies to Kirkland's, as they were looking for a Designer Panel - here's the e-mail I just received!:First of all, congratulations!  Out of more than 100 applicants, you have been selected as a finalist for our new designer panel!
