The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs - TDHCA has released its new Single Family Mortgage Revenue Down Payment Assistance Bond Program Series 77.   These programs are available exclusively through Select Mortgage Banks as determined by TDHCA,  to qualify for these programs you must be able to qualify for a regular FHA Mortgage.  If you cannot qualify and be approved by a TDHCA Approved Lender you cannot receive the funds for bond 77.  To see if you qualify you may fill out our online application here to start the … (0 comments)

The Texas Veterans Land board offers Texas Vets the opportunity for some of the lowest home loan rates available today.  Contrary to the name these home mortgage loans can be used to purchase regular everyday family homes in metro areas.  In addition, fees are strictly controlled and limited to protect the Veteran.  Realtors, to see if you or your clients qualify for this program contact our office and we'll get them pre-approved for the program.

Taking Advantage of Veterans and their Families during the home loan process is just flat wrong on so many levels.  I have noticed a drastic increase of lenders that are either inexperienced or deliberately taking advantage of our Vets during the home loan process.  I will describe 5 situations that I see on a weekly basis.
The situation starts out most frequently like this:
