Home Inspectors in Reading: Solar Energy - 05/27/11 11:26 AM
Home Inspectors in Reading: Solar Energy Solar energy is the fastest growing energy source in the world and the technology has become more affordable and reliable in the last several years. Not only does solar energy and other renewable energy sources foster a cleaner environment, but they help reduce our dependence on volatile energy prices and imported oil. This clean, safe, renewable energy source is limitless in supply and more and more homeowners are taking notice as energy costs has become a growing source of concern. I feel it's important as

Why Contact a Home Inspector? (Phoenixville) - 05/17/11 09:31 AM
Why Contact a Home Inspector? (Phoenixville) As a Home Inspector in Phoenixville, PA and surrounding, my typical client is a homebuyer and I always recommend that once you have a signed Agreement of Sale, Contact a Home Inspector right away to schedule the home inspection. Why? Peace-of-Mind! Why wait? Buying a home could be the largest single investment you'll ever make and after the inspection, you'll know more about the house which will allow you to make decisions with confidence. A home inspector will identify the need for major repairs, as well as the need for maintenance to

203K Consultant (PA) : "Can I do the work myself?" - 05/15/11 12:16 PM
203K Consultant (PA) : "Can I do the work myself?" As a 203K Consultant in PA, I get asked from clients every now and then "Can I do the work myself?". Say you are a client looking into getting an FHA 203K loan on a house that you are buying (or already own). Maybe you have a background in carpentry or find you are handy and could save some money by doing the work yourself. Can it be done? Sure, you can try it but I do NOT recommended it. First, you'll need to let your

Who says you need a Road to take a Road Trip? - 05/12/11 12:08 AM
Who says you need a Road to take a Road Trip? My wife and I participated in the 23rd Annual Swatara Sojourn, a canoe trip to clean-up the river. The Swatara is a river in a State Park in Lebanon County, PA about a half hour from Reading. Our plan was to help clean-up the Swatara River during this 30 mile canoe trip. Well, things didn't go exactly as planned. First, I should say we've only been on a canoe one other time about 12 years ago. We aren't canoe experts and it showed! Second, we decided

Alebrije- Best Mexican Restaurant (Reading, PA) - 05/05/11 10:07 PM
Alebrije- Best Mexican Restaurant (Reading, PA) It's Cinco de Mayo and as much as my wife and I love Mexican food, we've never been to a restaurant on Cinco de Mayo until tonight. Some friends invited us out to what we consider the best mexican restaurant in Reading, PA- Alebrije. The food is cheap! My wife always gets the 3 chicken enchiladas for $5.99 and I get a combo meal for under $9. What we especially like about their best Mexican dishes is the fact that they use white meat chicken in their

Real Estate Investing the Right Way - 05/03/11 04:54 PM
Real Estate Investing the Right Way I recently attended a Diversified Real Estate Investors (DIG) meeting in Ft Washington, PA and heard Nick Sidoti, "Dr. Cash Flow", from New York was presenting on Real Estate Investing the Right Way by Increasing Your Cash Flow and Decreasing the Hassles. If you've never heard Nick Sidoti, you must attend one of his presentations. This self-proclaimed "crazy Italian" doesn't disappoint when it comes to entertaining a crowd and keeping you laughing. And if you aren't laughing or responding to his presentation, watch out for his water gun! It was quite a meeting!
