Every Realtor dreams of having multiple offers on their listing. The chances to close the deal increase and you usually will get a good price for your seller. However, if you don't have a good strategy in place, this dream situation can turn quickly in to a nightmare. If you do not follow all the steps in the right order or do not communicate properly, you might be perceived to favour one party over the other. This could potentially be a public relations disaster. (Surrey, BC) - The Fraser Valley Real Estate Board processed 1,516 property sales on its Multiple Listing Service (MLS®) in April, a decrease of 15 per cent compared to 1,793 sold during April of last year, and a decrease of 17 per cent compared to March's 1,818 sales. The Fraser Valley market was busier than normal in February and March due in part to the tighter credit conditions that kicked in on March 18, plus you add into the mix a focus on the federal election and you get an April that trends back to normal conditions. According to a new report released by Bensimon Byrne, the vast majority of Canadians are putting their eggs in one basket: real estate. They are feeling positive about their finances in a post-recessionary world. Although there is still some work to be done, but things are decidedly looking up. The report states that when asked about their personal financial situation now compared to pre-recession, 49 per cent report their living expenses have increased, only 31 per cent are earning more money, and only 22 per cent say their investments have increased.
