The ActiveRain Domino Effect - 06/22/10 11:18 PM

The decision to join ActiveRain was a pretty easy one. I mean, twist my arm guys, it's got a pretty cool interface and offers a great place to interact with Agents, Brokers, Inspectors, Interior Decorators, Photographers, and many more real estate professionals. Rodney Kei, then Advertising Manager, contacted me with the details on how to become a Rainmaker and the rest has been history.

What history you ask? Well, it delighted me when another Real Estate professional called from Washington state and asked if I would be interested in some referral business. His nephew was looking for a home … (4 comments)

FYI to all Agents on the Buying end of an REO Deal - 06/08/10 06:04 PM
Just as an FYI to all Agents that get frustrated with their clients purchase of an REO Property, here are some ground rules to keep in mind:

A home inspection will give you a comprehensive and thorough look at the overall condition of the home. Although an inspection cannot identify every problem, it can uncover problems that should be addressed before buying a house that needs a costly repair.

No, a home inspection is not always required. But at a cost of about $300-$450, it is a wise investment for anyone that is purchasing. A contract that is contingent on a home inspection from a qualified home inspector will benefit from:

Evaluation of the actual physical condition of the building, construction and mechanical systems of the home. … (2 comments)
