According to CNN Money this am home sales compared to the peak in the boom year (2005) are down a whooping 80%.
Another reason why a seller now needs the very best marketing brokers can offer. Sellers, you need to demand great pictures, video, virtual tours, first class flyers and expert presentations wherever a buyer might look. Your property needs to literally stand out.

When reading the NYT, my only true addiction, a few days ago, I found this "game". You can change parts of the budget to balance it and see how it pans out.

Unemployment benefits are creating another problem - 11/17/10 11:24 AM
319 Billion. That is what was paid out in unemployment benefits since the recession began. 99 months are now the benefit period, not 65 months anymore. higher unemployment taxes are collected from companies to finance (not cover) the burden. So every additional employee costs additionally and that makes employers even more careful to hire. Talk about a vicious cycle. Another part of raising the deficit and public debt. A lot of people will stay unemployed after the 99 months are over for them. Those are most likely loosing their houses sooner or later. Still more to come....
