Must You List? - 08/12/08 03:20 PM
The market in Tampa continues to be very challenging (what an understatement). The hardest thing these days seem to be those listing appointments. Folks that bought 2, 3, 4 years ago have lost ground. This is a shocker for them. It is tough to have to tell someone who DIDN'T buy at the peak of the market that they have no equity or that they have negative equity. Some of these would be sellers didn't do any of the big no-no's. They didn't suck the perceived equity out with a HELOC. They didn't take out interest only mortgages. Recycle Tampa...Stuff those blue boxes! - 08/08/08 06:11 PM
The City of Tampa's curbside recycling program underwent an expansion last month. When landfill space is a premium and sustainabiltiy is a key buzz word recycling is receiving more attention than ever before. Recycling saves tax dollars, the city has to pay for that landfill space. For those who found recycling frustrating about what to put in and what to keep out the process has become easier. The following items can now go in those blue curbside boxes: phone books, paperback books, junk mail, cereal boxes, 6-pack soda boxes, office paper and cardboard. In addition the following items remain filler for those boxes: (0 comments)

Joe Stines, Director of the Tampa-Hillsborough Public Library, informed Seminole Heights residents that the community is on target to receive funds for a new library. The current facility was built around the time that interstate 275 sliced through this heart of Tampa neighborhood, The original library site is located under the interstate. The new facility has been budgeted for 7.3 million. There are plans to make the new library two story and there is consideration for a multi level parking deck to access (0 comments)
