Man this post is going to sound really possessive and a bit angry to boot. However, it needs to be said and said loudly.
Recently I just listed a home at $169,500 and it went under contract for the full asking price (less some assistance with closing costs) in less than 30 days. When I received my email of daily listings and pending sales in my neighborhood of Seminole Heights it stood out...it was the only listing above a 100k!

Here in Hillsborough County there is a ballot issue to raise the sales tax a penny to fund transportation initiatives like light rail for Tampa and Hillsborough County. There are a lot of competing views and here in Seminole Heights there is a very vocal group that is pushing for the light rail line through Tampa Heights and Seminole Heights. It is not settled as to the route.
