realtors: Home Tour Caravaning ~ Are REALTORS Missing the Boat?

Let's start with a confession. The last time, a Broker required my participation in a Home Tour Caravan (you know, the Tuesday Morning meeting that used to be standard operations back in the day) was almost two decades ago. My generation of 'newly minted REALTORS' were swept up in the winds of change that overtook the industry as the 90's drew to a close. Grand Rapids, MI agents don't have to wait for the yearly announcement of the 'Good Neighbor Award' to support and celebrate one of our own local Realtors®. You know what, I really, really, really miss my former travel agent! My favorite travel agency had to close down many years ago. My last visit to the shopping center where the travel office was located is now the setting for a specialty food & party store. Barely anyone remembers that a travel agency occupied that space for many years. But, I will never forget my first experience of Christmas away from home; a young 18 year old college student, separated by thousands of miles.
