What's Happening today in the McLean, Virginia Real Estate Market?
Here's a snapshot of McLean Virginia home sales in the last 30 days from the early May 2011 through now:
MCLEAN VIRGINIA HOME SALES:
Active homes for sale: 278 -- 78 of those have just come on the market within the last 30 days! Average listing price: $1,937,360.  Yes, this seems like a very big number, but there are McLean homes available in all price ranges, though over 2/3 of homes available … (5 comments)

Everyone has an opinion.  However, you cannot argue with the facts.
This video from RE/MAX International presents facts and only the facts ma'am.  Does anybody even remember Dragnet?  I only know it from the Nick at Nite reruns.  Even then I'm dating myself.

According to Forbes, McLean, Virginia ranks as the fourth most affluent community in the United States based on a median household income of $156,292.  The Forbes website states that "[t]his Washington, D.C., suburb is favored by government insiders because of its upscale homes and easy access to the Dulles Technology Corridor, the Blue Ridge Mountains and upscale shopping mecca Tysons Corner Center."
 
In garnering the fourth spot on this list, McLean was bested only by Los Altos CA, Darien CT, and Southlake TX.

Money Magazine recently detailed the towns and cities with the highest median family incomes in the country.  It's no surprise that McLean, Virginia made this list.  Traditionally viewed as one of the ritziest communities in the Washington, D.C. metro area, McLean placed #8 on Money Magazine's list.  See the full list here.

With a population of just 40,715, McLean boasts a median family income of $180,103.  The Money Magazine snippet states that some powerful movers and shakers make McLean their home, including Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, Democratic Senators Ted Kennedy and Patrick Leahy, as well as many Washington area … (4 comments)

Sudden windfall?  A rich uncle has just left you his entire estate.  How do you want to invest your newfound wealth? Consider real estate in Northern Virginia. 
 
 
All kidding aside, there are 837 homes currently for sale with a pricetag of $1 million or more in Alexandria, Arlington, and Fairfax County.  For those who can afford the ultimate in luxury, 231 of those homes are priced above $2 million.
