Everyone buying a home wants to know the average home prices in the areas that interest them. People planning to sell their homes like this information too. northern virginia blog: Brian Block on the Neil Cavuto Show on Fox News - 05/30/09 01:28 PM
Just over a year ago, Maryland, which borders my home state of Virginia, decided to raise the taxes on its residents who earn over $1 million per year -- the so-called "Millionaire Tax." Here's my blog post from April 9, 2008: Virginia Welcomes Migration of Maryland Millionaires A couple of weeks ago, the state of Maryland reported that state tax revenues were down. 1/3 less Maryland taxpayers reporting incomes over $1 million from a year prior. Where'd they go? As this news

As of early July 2008, approximately 24% of the homes currently on the market for resale in Alexandria, Virginia are townhouses. Townhouses are spread throughout the City of Alexandria, but the highest concentrations are found in Old Town Alexandria, and the West End of the City, particularly in the Cameron Station, Townes at Cameron Parke, Stonegate, and Summers Grove communities. northern virginia blog: Turning Point of the Year -- 2,468 More Homes on the Market! - 05/27/08 10:58 PM
Memorial Day typically represents a turning point in the year for most people. According to traditional fashion etiquette, you are now allowed to wear white clothing, shorts, and linen. I've never followed these rules to the letter, but then again I've also been known to order a glass of Cabernet or Pinot Noir with my poisson. Memorial Day can also represent a turning point in the momentum of the real estate market. Spring & Summer are traditionally the busiest times for real estate sales, as it's easier to market a home in the beauty of the warm seasons than in the dead

northern virginia blog: Northern Virginia Housing Styles -- Colonials - 05/15/08 09:30 AM
Different strokes for different folks! Everyone has their own particular tastes when it comes to housing styles. Some like the airy and open eclectic Contemporary homes. northern virginia blog: Up Up & Away: What a Day -- The RE/MAX Balloon - 08/18/07 08:59 PM
I went out to Bealeton, Virginia today to the Flying Air Circus to watch WW-I era bi-planes doing aerobatics and to see the hot air Balloon Festival. I had no idea whether there would be a RE/MAX balloon there, but fortunately there was. Wow!! It is truly incredible to see the massive RE/MAX balloon up close and personal for the first time. The aerobatic plane show was amazing, and there was even a wing-walker. A woman climbed out onto one of the wings in mid-flight at about 100 MPH and then hung upside down holding on with her ankles! Wow! We
