While the Northern Virginia and D.C. markets have slowed alongside much of the country's real estate markets, the shining star of Northern Virginia has been the continued phenomenal job growth. More than 40,000 new jobs are expected to be created in Northern Virginia in 2008.
The Greater Washington area has the most educated populace in the country, thus making it home to many Information Technology (IT) companies. Northern Virginia boasts 22 of the region's 25 largest IT employers. If you work in the IT field and you're considering a move, Northern Virginia may be the right choice.
