Folks were asked to mark there calendar and to plan on joining in celebrating the ground breaking for the log buildings called the Parker Province House and the Hastings/Williams Leanto these building would finally complete the east side of the Fort at No.4. A anonymous donor had graciously donated to the Fort at No.4 Associates the amount of $30,000.00 to start the construction, and then in 1985 this same anonymous donor pledged $25,000.00, and also pledged an unspecified amount os (6 comments)

West Claremont New Hampshire and Two Lonely Historic Churches, about three miles west on Route 103 is where the settlement of West Claremont once stood and the Two Historic Churches. Theres the Union Church, which is a large white clapboard building with curved windows, is the oldest Episcopal Church building in New Hampshire. Folks find it a surprise to find and see the oldest one this far inland and this from any presentday settlement. Congress of Claremont Senior Citizens Claremont New Hampshire, this Friday the 3rd of September 2010 the Congress of Claremont Senior Citizens will be holding its first meeting of the season. The meeting will be held at the Earl M. Bourdon Centre, located at 67 Maple Ave. in Claremont, New Hampshire. The Congress of Claremont Senior Citizens meeting will start at 1:00 P.M. After the business meeting, there will be a guest speaker, and you will be able to enjoy refreshments and cash door prizes. All senior citizens are welcome to attend. Membership is 100% free.
