Lieutenant Isaac Parker and his Province House in Charlestown New Hampshire, back in the 1740's the Town of Charlestown, New Hampshire came to life, first known as No.4. It was not at all an easy life for folks back then. But the folks learned to overcome many hardships of their daily lives.   Lieutenant Isaac Parker was one of the first settlers to arrive at the Northernmost British settlement named No.4 which was 30 miles from its nearest neighbor. Fort at No4 New upcoming Events at the Fort at No4 in Charlestown New Hampshire, on Thursday the 21st of October 2010 the Crown Point Road Association will be at the Fort at No4. Did you know that the Fort at No4 sits at the most southern end of the Crown Point Road. Come on down to jpin us in the Fort at No4 bookstore for a presentation about the Crown Point Road as it is today. The resentation will begin at 7:00 P.M.
Donations are suggested for the above Fort at No4 event.

Halloween at the Fort at No4 Event in Charlestown New Hampshire, on Saturday the 30th of October 2010 the Fort at No4 will be holding Pickpockets, Rogues and Highwaymen as a Halloween event. Kids and adults alike sure will be in for a mighty fine time. Folks sure have had a whole lot of fun at this event in the pass. There will be pickpockets, rogues and highwaymen to look out for, and to keep your valuables hidden from. There will also be Fort at No4 interpreters on hand also. Fort at No.4 and the 2010 Columbus Day Weekend, The Fort at No.4 will be open for folks to stop by and enjoy visiting. There will not be any full blowen event going on at the Fort at No.4 this weekend from what I understand, but there will be Fort interpreters on hand to answer any questions you might have. The Fort at No.4 will be open all three days of the Columbus Day Weekend.   Admissions to go through the Fort is as follows: $8.00 for Adults $5.00 for Seniors 55 and over $5.00 for Kids 7 to 12 years … (2 comments)

Charlestown, New Hampshire's First Name was Number4 in the 1700's - Part Four, being a interpreter and re-enactor at our Fort at No.4 here in Charlestown, New Hampshire. I thought I'd share with you the Do's and Don'ts of Muzzleloading Safety. The kind of shoulder arms you'll see being carried by the re-enactors and interpreters at the Fort at No.4 when you visit, are flintlock smoothbore muskets.
