Child Caregiver Workshop Event to be held in Sprinfield Vermont, folks are you a child care provider who works with kids which are 3 to 5 years of age?

This evening of Thursday the 25th day of April 2013 there will be an hour workshop. Folks the Vermont Early Literacy Initiative Ready for School Workshop which has been scheduled to be held between 6:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. This workshop is being held at the Springfield Town Library.

Child Caregiver Workshop Event to be held in Sprinfield Vermont, participants will receive free books and materials that focus on early math skills, there will be one set per facility. There will also be pizza served. Folks which would like to attend need to Register by calling the Springfield Town Library at 802-885-3108 or you can send an E-Mail to ctc@tds.net

Job Fair Scheduled to be held today in Springfield Vermont, are you looking for a job like so many other folks or know of someone else around the area in need of a job? Then please take the time right now to click open and read my blog post about this up coming job Fair event scheduled to be held to help folks with finding a job!

On this day of Wednesday the10th day of April 2013 the Second Annual River Valley Job Fair has been scheduled to be held. This event is going to be held at the Howard Dean Education Center and taking place in the atrium of the River Valley Technical Center, folks which might not know the location, its located at 307 South Street in Springfield, Vermont and the phone number of the Center is 802-885-5800. Folks I've been told that there will be over 25 employers and service agencies have been lined up to help folks that are looking for a job.

Job Fair Scheduled to be held today in Springfield Vermont, this here event is aimed at connecting local job hunters with seasonal and permanent jobs in the area and will also be showcasing resources and training programs which are able to help folks that are needing and looking to attain employment. The Job Fair event has been scheduled to be held between the hours of 1:00 and 4:00 P.M. the afternoon of Wednesday the 10th of April 2013.

Church of Christ Community Dinner in Springfield Vermont, hey there folks, do y'all know about this Sprinfield community event to be held? Did I hear someone say they did not know about it? Then please take the time to click on the title to open up this blog post to read about it.

On Tuesday the 29th of January of this New Year of 2013 all residences of the Springfield area Communities are invited to come to attend and enjoy a mighty fine and Free Community Dinner being hosted by the Springfield Church of Christ. Folks which might not know where the Church is located, its located at 972 Chester Road in Springfield, Vermont.

Church of Christ Community Dinner in Springfield Vermont, the doors of the Church are scheduled to open at 5:50 P.M., the dinner event will begin at 6:00 P.M. and will last until the food is all gone. The meal menu will include for your enjoyment the following, Roast Pork, Mashed Potatoes, Vegetable, Rolls and Brownies. The beverages will include Milk, Lemonade and Coffee.

History Program Event is being held in Windsor Vermont, folks have ever wondered the long History of the mighty fine Windsor Library?

This evening of Wednesday the 23rd of January of this New Year of 2013 folks will be able to attend the Free proram which is titled the History of Windsor Public Library. The program has been scheduled to begin at 7:00 P.M. this evening. Folks that might not know where the Windsor Library is located, its located at 43 State Street in Windsor, Vermont.

History Program Event is being held in Windsor Vermont, this here program is a presentation by the Windsor Historical Society. Folks which do go to enjoy attending, will get to learn about the History of this 130-year-old Library and its 102-year-old Building which its located in. Plus the Architecture and the Mural that was used to bulid it.

Folks this will be a Benefit Round and Square Dance which will be held in the evening of Saturday the 5th of January 2013. This Benefit Dance will be held at the Gassets Grange Hall in Chester, Vermont. The Benefit Dance event has been scheduled to be held between the hours of 7:00 P.M. and 11:00 P.M.

New Year's Eve Celebrations being held in Springfield Vermont, folks here are two 2013 New Years Eve events for you to enjoy attending.

On this this here New Year's Eve to bring in the New Year of 2013 a New Year's Eve Dinner and Dance Party with the String-a-Longs is scheduled to be held at the Summerfield's Restaurant which is located at the Crown Point Country Club, which is located on Weathersfield Center Road in Springfield, Vermont. This New Year's Celebration is scheduled to be held between the hours of 6:00 P.M. and 10:00 P.M. The cost to attend this New Year's Eve event is $10.00 per-person.

New Year's Eve Celebrations being held in Springfield Vermont, folks the Springfield Elks are holding a New Year's Eve Celebration which will begin at 7:00 P.M. their event will be held at the Springfield Elks Lodge. The music that has been scheduled will be provided by the Travis Parker Band.

There will a light buffet available to folks attending this New Year's Eve Celebration event. The cost to attend is as follows, $25.00 per-person and $40.00 per-couple. Holiday Luncheon Event to be held in Proctorsville Vermont

Holiday Luncheon Event to be held in Proctorsville Vermont, folks you sure are invited to come enjoy attending this here Church event.

On Thursday the 20th of December of 2012 the regular Monthly Luncheon in Cavendish is scheduled to begin at 11:30 A.M. at the St. James United Methodist Church, which is located on Main Street in Proctorsville, Vermont. There is a low suggested donation to help defray the cost of the food for the meal.

Holiday Luncheon Event to be held in Proctorsville Vermont, the low suggested donations are as follows, $4.00 for Seniors and $5.50 for those folks that are under the age of 60 years. Folks you'll find the Windsor Farmers Marker being helding on this day of Sunday the 23rd of September 2012 between Noon and 3:00 P.M. This mighty fine Farmers Market is held on the Windsor Green on State Street in downtown Windsor, Vermont.

Farmers Market in Windsor Vermont, You'll be able to find new today at the Market homemade totes, trick-or-treat bags in time for Halloween and Holiday aprons. You'll also find mighty fineFall Fruits and Vegetables which will includ Eggplant, Winter Squash and Tomatillos just to give you a bit of a tast.

There will be canned goods like Fruit and Vegetables available for you to buy and enjoy. There will also be Fresh Farm Eggs, plus Music will be acoustic rock performed by Clint Pecor.

Support and Honor our Great Country's Military Men and Women Everyday, Memorial Day, an American Holiday which is now observed on the last Monday of May, has always been to show Honor to the many Men and Women which who died while serving in our U.S. Military. Which was originally known as Decoration Day, it originated in the year of 1868 following the Civil War (Which the True name is The War for Southern Independence).

For decades Memorial Day was observed on the 30th of May, which was the date a Northern General by the name of John A. Logan had selected for the very first Decoration Day. Then in 1968 Congress passed the Uniform Monday Act, in which moved Memorial Day to be observed on the last Monday in May in order to create a three day Weekend for themselves and other regular Federal Employees. That change went into effect in the year of 1971, and that same Law declared Memorial Day to became an official Federal Holiday. Many Americans observe Memorial Day by visiting Cemeteries and Memorials.

Support and Honor our Great Country's Military Men and Women Everyday, Decoration Day, On the 5th of May,1862, General John A. Logan, leader of an organization for Northern Civil War Veterans, called for a Nationwide day of Remembrance later that Month. “The 30th of May, 1868, is designated for the purpose of strewing with flowers, or otherwise decorating the graves of comrades who died in defense of their country during the late rebellion, and whose bodies now lie in almost every city, village and hamlet churchyard in the land,” he proclaimed. The date of Decoration Day, as he called it, was chosen because it wasn’t the anniversary of any particular battle.

On the first Decoration Day, General James Garfield made a speech at Arlington National Cemetery, and 5,000 participants decorated the graves of the 20,000 Union and Confederate Soldiers buried there. Many Northern States held similar commemorative events and reprised the tradition in subsequent years; by 1890 each one had made Decoration Day an official State Holiday. Many Southern States, on the other hand, continued to honor their dead on separate days until after World War I.

Support and Honor our Great Country's Military Men and Women Everyday, the Evolution of Decoration Day/Memorial Day. Memorial Day, as Decoration Day gradually came to be known, originally honored only those lost while fighting in the Civil War. But during World War I the United States found itself embroiled in another major conflict, and the holiday evolved to commemorate American military personnel who died in all wars.

As a Vet which Served in actual Battles, I ask that each of y'all to please take the time to show your support to each and every Vet, and Honor them by saying Thank You for their Service and shake their hand! Not only today, Veterans Day and Independence Day, but each and everyday y'all come across a Vet. I sure can say that its truly appreciate more than most folks might ever know!

Support and Honor our Great Country's Military Men and Women Everyday, something which my Lady does, she buys Dunkin Donuts Gift Cards that are good for a Cup of Coffee, and besides saying Thank You to every Vet she comes across wearing something showing they are a Vet, she gives them one of the Cards.

Thank You mighty kindly to each and everyone of my Brother and Sister Vets for Serving our Great Country!!!

The Southwest Corner to be Performed by SCP in Springfield Vermont, hey there folks how about coming on out to take in and enjoy the season opening play.

On Friday the 1st of June 2012 the Springfield Community Players will be performing a enjoyable Comedy-Drama titled The Southwest Corner by John Cecil Holm, which is based in the book written by Mildred Walker. This play is humor of a gentle, whimsical sort permeates the all-too-real story of an Elderly Woman who wants to stay in her Generations Old Home in Vermont.

The Southwest Corner to be Performed by SCP in Springfield Vermont, this mighty fine play will be performed at the Springfield Community Players Studio which is located on South Street in Springfield, Vermont. The play is scheduled to be performed as follows, Friday the 1st of June and Saturday the 2nd of June 2012. General admission to enjoy the performance is as follows, $15.00 and $12.00 for Senioes and Students. Call 802-885-4098 to make your reservations.

The Springfield Community Players are able to trace its roots back to the Fall of 1920, which the formation of the Dramatic Society by the Community Club of Springfield. The Community Club's purpose was to create and sustain interest in all matters pertaining to Drama, back in the 1920's sure was a mighty exciting time for the Theaters. All throughout Vermont, and matter of fact all across our entire Great Country there were Community Theater Groups were being organized, and which many of them are still going. Eighty three years later the Springfield Community Players are still going strong, and can claim the title of being the longest continuously actively operating Amateur Theater Group in the State of Vermont.

The Southwest Corner to be Performed by SCP in Springfield Vermont, Marcia Elder, a retired village school teacher, lives alone in her family home in Vermont. She is very happy in her lovely country house, but she begins to think about the possibility of finding a companion who will care for her as she grows older. In reply to an advertisement she has put in a newspaper, Bea Cannon turns up. Bea is a widow, energetic, talkative and the kind of person who takes over wherever she finds herself. Marcia agrees to take Bea as her companion, signing a will in which she leaves her house and all its antique furnishings to Bea in return for Bea’s care as long as Marcia lives.

But no sooner than Bea is settled into Marcia’s home than her true nature appears. She’s not actively unkind or selfish, but being insensitive she can be almost more cruel. Bea can understand only her own kind of life, one which centered around confession magazines, television and gossiping with the neighbors. But since none of these things are available in Marcia’s home.

At this point I'll leave y'all hanging, I sure don't want to spoil it for y'all.

Springfield High School Free Concert in Springfield Vermont, folks come to enjoy some mighty fine music and show your support to the Students and Faculty of Springfield High School.

On Thursday the 24th of May 2012 the Springfield High School Musicians will be presenting their final Concert for this year. This here mighty fine Concert is scheduled to begin at 7:00 P.M. and will be held in the Auditorium of Springfield High School which is located at 303 South Street in Springfield, Vermont.

Springfield High School Free Concert in Springfield Vermont, the Concert will be featuring the Concert Band, Chorus, Madrigal Singers, and the Wind Ensemble, plus the Faculty members of Springfield High School that will be joining and Piano Virtuoso Daniel Weiset. Music Director Jim Chlebak of Springfield High School will be sharing the podium with John Dean, which who currently is a Math Teacher at Springfield High School.

Mr. Dean also has more than two Decades of Experience leading High School and Military Bands. Admission for folks to enjoy attending this here Final Springfield High School Concert is Free. The Springfield Music Boosters Club will be selling refreshments to help raise funds to support their trip to Quebec City that they have scheduled to take next Spring.

Day Camp Open House to be held in Springfield Vermont, folks do your kids want to go to camp? Then you'll want to take the time to read this blog post, and your family might want to attend this camp open house.

On this here day of Sunday the 20th of May the Meeting Waters YMCA will be hosting a combined YMCA Healthy Kids Day and Camp Open House event. This here event is scheduled to be held rain or shine (as of the writing and posting of this blog post, the Weatherman is calling for clear skies for our area). The Camp Open House is scheduled to be held between the hours of 1:00 P.M. and 4:00 P.M.

During this here event, prospective campers and their parents will be able to meet the Camp's Staff Leaders and tour some of the 52 acre Lewis Day Camp Facility. Day Camp Open House to be held in Springfield Vermont, this here Summer of 2012 marks the 48th straight year that the Meeting Waters YMCA has been providing fun and educational programs for the children of the Connecticut River Valley. Over the years nearly 10,000 children have participated in a MWYMCA Summer Camp program. The Lewis Day Camp is located at the Meeting Waters of the Black River and Connecticut River on Route 5 in Springfield, Vermont. In addition to providing fun, educational programming and caring supervision, they provide bus transportation from Bellows Falls, Battleboro, Charlestown, Chester, Putney, Saxtions River, Springfield, Walpole, and Westminster.

The Lewis Day Camp Facility sits on 52 acres of fields, woods and river frontage we have a 25 yard in-ground pool, a covered pavilion that seats 120, rest rooms, offices, changing rooms, four lean-tos, an archery range, beach volleyball court, basketball area, playing fields, a canoe launch, and miles of hiking trails.

Day Camp Open House to be held in Springfield Vermont, this year's 2012 Summer Session Dates are as follows: Two week sessions: June 25-July 6; July 9-20; July 23-August 3; August 6-17. Festival is being held in the Town of Springfield Vermont

Festival is being held in the Town of Springfield Vermont, folks y'all sure don't want to miss out attending this here Festival which sure does have a whole lot enstored for ya.

On Saturday the 12th of May 2012 the Unitarian Universalist Church is hosting their May Festival, which will be held for folks to attend Rain or Shine. The Weatherman just said the sky will be clear in the morning, and clouds moving in the late afternoon. The Festival will be hold at Unitarian Universalist Church, which is located at 21 Fairground Road in Springfield, Vermont.

Festival is being held in the Town of Springfield Vermont, this Festival is scheduled to be held between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M. Did I hear one of y'all ask what folks can expect to find at the event? Folks will find booths that have Arts, Crafts and Flea Market Items. There will be Health foods available at the cafe. There is Entertainment for folks to enjoy, which will include a mighty fine Drumming Circle, and Fiddle Music with George Ainley and Julie Levy.

There will be a Kids Corner which will provide Arts and Craft activities to enjoy taking part in. This here mighty fine Unitarian Universalist Church May Festival will include their Annual Plant Sale, which there will be different Annuals, Perennials, Vegetables and Herb Plants for you to enjoy in your garden. There will be Garden Experts on hand to help folks.

On Sunday the 29th of April 2012 the West Windsor Historical Society has scheduled to hold this Fundraising Auction at the Town Hall, which is located on Brownsville Hartland Road-Route 44 in the Village of Brownsville, Vermont. The auction will last for an hour and a half, which is scheduled to be held between 2:00 P.M. and 3:30 P.M. Folks will be able to preview the auction items starting at 1:00 P.M. The auction will be conducted by Auctioneer will be Mark Isenberg.

Fundraiser Auction Scheduled to be held in Brownsville Vermont, the auction items will include Gift Certificates from area Businesses, Real Maple Syrup, Like New Furniture, Well-Conditioned Household items, a Brand New Picnic Table, Antique-Like Items and a whole lot more.

Penny Sale is being held in Windsor Vermont, folks come on out to enjoy a mighty fine time and to show your support for this here Fund Raiser.

This evening of Saturday the 28th of April 2012, the Windsor Rotary Club is holding their Annual Penny Sale, which will be held in the Lois F. White Theater of the Windsor Junior-Senior High School. The School is located at 19 Ascutney Street in Windsor, Vermont. Admission into the event is Free. The doors are scheduled to open at 6:00 P.M.

Penny Sale is being held in Windsor Vermont, the are being open at 6:00 P.M. so folks can procure advance tickets for the prize drawings. The Grand Prize is $1,000.00 the Second Prize is $500.00 and the Door Prize is $100.00. There will be three rounds of drawings, which sure will be featuring hundreds of Prizes.

Folks can procure tickets for the prize drawings for $1.00 each or six tickets for $5.00. All proceeds will benefit different Windsor Rotary Charities.

Blood Drive taking place in Springfield Vermont

Blood Drive taking place in Springfield Vermont, folks come attend and show your support for this here blood drive at the VFW. Take a moment to think about how it would feel if you or a family member was needing some blood, and the blood was not there. Blood donations have been down all across our Great Country. Please do your part to help.

On Wednesday the 25th of April this American Red Cross Blood Drive will be held at the Robert L. Johnson VFW Post 771 which located at 191 River Street #1 in Springfield, Vermont. This here blood drive will be held between the hours of 12:00 P.M. and 5:30 P.M. All blood types sure are critically needed to help save lives.

Blood Drive taking place in Springfield Vermont, donors must be at least 17 years of age and weigh at least 110 pounds. All folks that do donate blood will receive a coupon for a Free six inch Subway sandwich. Folks that wish to make an appointment can do so by either call RED-CROSS or by clicking here to visit www.redcrossblood.org Folks sure are more than welcome to just walk-in to donate to the Blood Drive.

    At this time of year, this is worth seeing.
   Show these pictures to your spouse, your kids, grand kids, family, and friends. It could save their lives. Remember what this Spider looks like and be careful while cleaning, as told below.

It's almost summertime and cleanup is going on. Be careful where you put your hands. They like dark spaces and woodpiles. Also cool areas in the attic...   This guy was bitten by a Brown Recluse spider.

The following illustrates the

The affected skin actually dies on the body.
Some of the pictures towards the end are pretty nasty, but take a look at the last one .

The Brown Recluse Spider is the most
dangerous spider that we have here in the USA.     A person can die from its bite. We all should know what the spider looks like.

Send this around to people you love, because it is almost summer time.

People will be digging around, doing yard work, spring cleaning, and sometimes in their attics.

The Dangerous Brown Recluse Spider

Please be careful.
Spider bites are dangerous and can have permanent and highly negative consequences.

They like the darkness and tend to live in storage sheds or attics or other areas that might not be frequented by people or light.

If you have a need to be in your attic, go up there and turn on a light and leave it on for about 30 minutes before you go in to do your work.

Rummage Sales being held in Communities of Southwestern New Hampshire, folks load up your vehicle, get ready, get set and go to attend some mighty fine Rummage Sales being held in our area.

On Saturday the 21st of April 2012 there will be Rummage Sales held in four of the communities which help to make up the Southwestern part of New Hampshire. Below is a list of the communities and times the Rummage Sales will be held.

In Acworth, New Hampshire the Female Charitable Society of the United Church of Acworth will be holding their Springfield Rummage Sale which will be held at the Church on the Hill, which is also known as the Acworth Meetinghouse between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 1:00 P.M. The Church on the Hill is located at the end of the Town Common in Actworth, New Hampshire. The Church on the Hill is an Historic Church which was build back in 1821 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in the year of 1975. The Female Charitable Society will be selling Clothing, Household items and White Elephants.

Rummage Sales being held in Communities of Southwestern New Hampshire, in Charlestown, New Hampshire there will an Indoor Rummage and Bake Sale held at the Charlestown Senior Center, which is located at 223 Old Springfield Road in Charlestown, New Hampshire. This event will be held between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 1:00 P.M.

In Sunapee, New Hampshire the U.M.W. will be holding a Rummage Sale in the Community Room of the Lake Sunapee Methodist Church, which is located at 15 Main Street in Sunapee, New Hampshire. For more information, folks are ask to please call the Church at 603-763-4301 or 603-763-9480

Rummage Sales to be held in Communities of Southwestern New Hampshire, in Walpole, New Hampshire a Spring Rummage and Food Sale will be held at the First Congregational Church, which is located at 15 Washington Street in Walpole, New Hampshire. This here combined Rummage and Food Sale will be held between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 1:00 P.M. The Rummage Sale part will be featuring gently worn Spring and Summer Clothing and Household items. The Food Sale part will include a variety of different kinds of Baked Goods. A $1.00 bag sale will begin at Noon.
