springfied vermont: Vermont Home Owners its mighty Important to have your Chimney Cleaned - 01/06/11 02:27 AM
Vermont Home Owners its mighty Important to have your Chimney Cleaned, plus you should always have your chimney inspected after it has been cleaned.

When cleaning is complete, be sure to have the chimney system inspected for safety. Most prefabricated chimneys are approved for a two-inch clearance from combustibles. Check the manufacturer's recommendation and respect them. Two inches may seem overly cautious, but remember design is aimed at the worst possible situation-a raging chimney fire. See that all the joints are snug and properly engaged.
