OK.  I've been away from ActiveRain for a bit, so I'm hoping folks remember my goofy self.  Actually, I'm not worried about that- for I've always been told that whether folks think good or ill of me, I'm a somewhat memorable person for some reason.

So why have I been away?  In short, I've joined The Dark Side Facebook.

For reasons too involved to get into here, I've had an aversion to all things Facebook … (5 comments)

 Property Manager Safety Tips

Property Manager Safety Tips

With the death of Arkansas Realtor Beverly Carter still fresh in the minds of many, Realtor safety remains a timely issue.  While property managers and sales-type Realtors have a number of things in common, perhaps the biggest difference between us lies in the sheer volume of prospects we may encounter on any given day.  The more we encounter, the greater the chance of danger- and in light of my having had 20-showing days in the past, I’d like to offer a few tips that might serve to keep you and … (4 comments)

How I Show Houses

How I Show Houses

That said, I've used today's post and video … (0 comments)

It's my policy- you can cry if you want to

It's my policy- you can cry if you want to

When it comes down to it, I really don't care about other companies' policies- and I probably care even less whether folks elsewhere care about mine.  That may sound harsh, but the truth often hurts.

I understand this might come as a shock to some folks, as it undoubtedly has to some of my tenant prospects over the years: different companies do things differently, and each one can conduct business however they dang well please.  Other than wanting … (44 comments)

It's not that difficult to think a little more about safety, as I'd venture to say most of us hardly think of it all to begin with- but we should.
The Elite Group (California home inspectors) has offered the 6 safety tips in the linked article, and I'd say that for the most part the age-old rule of simply using your common sense is the common thread that runs among them.
