Ear Plugs Standard Issue for Bandera, Texas Residents!! - 07/27/08 03:19 PM
This morning, as we drove past the Frontier Times Museum and saw the remnants of the American Cowboy celebration that was held last night, we couldn't help but feel sorry for the homeowners that lived behind the museum. Right out their bedroom window were 50+ revelers enjoying the food, music and lively conversation till who knows, what hour of the night. Then our discussion turned to the neighbors of the 11th St. Bar with neighbors behind, and alongside it. It becomes especially loud when they have special events, such as chili cook-offs, cabrito cook-offs, that spill out into the street. The (7 comments)
TAKE A RIDE ON "BOOTS" - 07/20/08 07:10 PM
Main Street Bandera was unusually busy this morning, not sure if it was due to visitors staying overnite after the wrestling matches at the Longhorn Saloon, or visitors passing through on their way to Lost Maples State Park, or Hill Country Natural Area or cowboys coming to town to stay for the American Cowboy Celebration this Saturday. There were cowboys on horseback strolling the main thoroughfare in search of something (drink, maybe) and wannabe cowboys watching them. We ran into Jeanne Parker, owner of Bandera Carriage, hanging out on Main Street with her buddy Boots. Jeanne operates a horse and carriage business in town, (2 comments)

I JUST LOVE MY NEW PHONE! THANKS SPRINT! - 07/13/08 07:26 PM
All the buzz this week has been about the iphone 3G or something like that, but I am not much of a follower, so I wanted something different. My contract with Sprint was up- I have been with Sprint for 9 years and still only had 800 minutes a month with the family plan- can you imagine that?!! Shared minutes with my spouse- boy do I go over that a month! Well, I was determined to get something from Sprint, I wasn't sure what, but something (more minutes, for sure). I went to the Sprint store and pretty much had my (9 comments)
MY PHONE IS NOT RINGING!! - 07/06/08 08:16 PM
In years past, on holiday weekends, or anytime that I plan a trip somewhere or try to take a vacation, invariably the office follows me, the listing that hasn't received any showings or calls suddenly everyone wants to see or wants info faxed to them. I take my phone with me on trips but this time I did not take my laptop and I don't have a portable fax ( nor do I take any files with me, Thank God!). This 4th of July weekend was an exception, though. All the 3 hour way up to see my beloved grandson in (18 comments)
