Days on the market went up 6%.  The market absorption rate came in at 4.59 months, still maintaining a seller's market statistically  for the month.  That means at the current pace, it would take 4.59 months to sell off the inventory of 202 homes.

Trumbull CT home sales for July 2014 showed a 6% decrease in sales from the same period last year, but listing and selling averages both went up 4%.    Sales jumped up 24% from June 2014 sales continuing an upward trend. See yearly sales chart below. 

Days on the market remained flat with a 1% increase.  The market absorption rate was down significantly coming in at 3.33 months maintaining a seller's market statistically  for the month.  That means at the current pace, it would take 3.33 months to sell off the inventory of 190 homes.

Trumbull CT home sales for June 2014 showed a 28% INCREASE in sales from the same period last year.  Listing and selling averages both went up 3%.    Sales also jumped up 109% from May 2014 sales. See yearly chart below. 

Days on the market went DOWN 19%.  The market absorption rate was down significantly coming in at 4.00 months putting it back into a seller's market statistically  for the month.  That means at the current pace, it would take 4.00 months to sell off the inventory of 184 homes.

Home sales in Trumbull CT for May 2014 showed a 37% decrease in sales from the same period last year.  However, listing and selling averages went up 9% and 8% respectively.  The median followed with a 10% increase.
Days on the market went DOWN 27%.  The market absorption rate jumped back up with 7.91 months supply of homes, back statistically into a buyer's market for the month.  That means at the current pace, it would take 7.91 months to sell off the inventory of 174 homes.

In April 2014 listing and sales averages both INCREASED 3%. The median went down 6%.
Days on the market went DOWN 8%.  The market absorption rate came in at a low 4.08 months supply of homes, jumping back statistically into a seller's market for the month even with inventory moving up 50% since last month.

Home sales in Trumbull CT for March 2014 showed a 15% decrease in sales from the same period last year.  However, sales INCREASED 22% over February 2014 sales.   
In March 2014 Listing and sales averages INCREASED 6% and 5% respectively. The median followed with an 11% INCREASE.   
Days on the market went up 23%.  The market absorption rate came in at 6.36 months supply of homes, creeping back slightly statistically into a buyer's market for the month.  Inventory went up 35% since last month.

Through all the snow, ice and frigid temperatures we have had here in CT in the last few months,  the Trumbull CT real estate market report for February 2014 showed improved since January and better results as compared to February 2013.
Home sales in Trumbull CT for February 2014 showed a 13% INCREASE in sales as compared to the same period last year.   Listing and sales averages INCREASED 10% and 11% respectively. The median followed with a 13% INCREASE.

After the strong finish the Trumbull CT real estate market had in 2013, January 2014 sales didn't fare as well and were likely affected by the December holiday period and ongoing weather issues.
Home sales in Trumbull CT for January 2014 showed a 25% decrease in sales as compared to the same period last year.   However, listing and sales averages INCREASED 20% and 26% respectively. The median followed with an 8% INCREASE.   
Days on the market went DOWN 18%.  The market absorption rate came in at 6.13 months supply of homes, back to a buyer's market statistically for the month.  Inventory still remains VERY low.

The Trumbull CT real estate market report for December 2013 showed a 63% INCREASE in sales as compared to the same period last year.   Listing and sales averages for December 2013 also INCREASED 9% and 10% respectively. The median followed with an 11% INCREASE!   Nice finish to 2013!
Days on the market went up 19%.  The market absorption rate came in at a very low 2.69 months supply of homes, a seller's market statistically.  Inventory still remains low.

The Trumbull CT real estate market report for November 2013 showed a 34% decrease in sales as compared to the same period last year.   However, Listing and sales averages for November 2013 both INCREASED 7%. The median also INCREASED 7%.    
Days on the market went DOWN 13% AND the market absorption rate came in at 4.52 months supply of homes, a seller's market statistically.  Inventory still remains low.
November sales may have been artificially higher last November due to October closings being postponed due to Hurricane Sandy and significant disruption of business.

The Trumbull CT real estate market report for October 2013 showed a 86% INCREASE in sales as compared to the same period last year.   Listing and sales averages for October 2013 were relatively flat at 1%. The median, however, INCREASED  16%.    
Days on the market went DOWN 17% AND market absorption came down significantly with a 3.71 months supply of homes, back into a seller's market statistically.  A sales increase and inventory decline brought the supply rate back into the seller's market with less than 6 month's supply of homes.

The Trumbull CT real estate market report for September 2013 showed a 19% decrease in sales as compared to the same period last year.  Sales were also down significantly from last month, but August was definitely a banner month.  See previous reports below.
 However, listing and sales averages for September 2013 both INCREASED  21%.  The median price was UP 15%.  
Days on the market went DOWN 6% AND market absorption came in with a 6.80 months supply of homes, back into a buyer's market statistically.

The Trumbull CT real estate market report for July 2013 showed a BOOMING 88% INCREASE in sales as compared to the same period last year, with listing and sales averages both INCREASING 9% and 11% respectively.  The median price was UP 7%.  
Days on the market went DOWN significantly to 26% AND market absorption came in with 2.82 months supply of homes, the lowest it has been in a VERY long time and solidly in seller's market territory with a less than six month supply of homes.

Days on the market went DOWN 19% AND market absorption came in with 7.40 months supply of homes, back soundly into buyer's market territory.

The Trumbull CT real estate market report for January 2013  showed a  9% decrease in sales over the same period last year, with listing and sales averages both decreasing 29% and 31& respectively.  
Days on the market went DOWN 4% AND market absorption came in with a 5.75 month supply of homes, up a bit from last month as inventory increased slightly.
Overall, January was certainly not a great month.  Further analysis shows that sales were clustered in lower price ranges than is usually the case (see chart below); … (5 comments)
