The College Reporter - 08/28/10 11:18 AM
A few weeks ago I hired a new intern, a senior at Kennesaw State University, who I have named The College Reporter. I recently asked her what is the college student's perception of design and here is what she had to say... As the end of August looms many students have made or will make their way back to their campuses-to the great disappointment of a certain young lady-to begin a semester of classes at their respective colleges. Her casual observances have found that many students are arriving with boxes, suitcases, bags and any other type of storage units you can (7 comments)

Lilburn - Occupied House Staged and Sold - 08/17/10 07:17 PM
Design2Sell - We Stage Atlanta took on this project: A charming house in the North East of Atlanta Area, in Lilburn. It sold in 62 days. An example that the concept of less is more is "the Truth of Staging". The biggest challenge was the Great room. The with the dark wall paneling, custom drapes and multiple conversation areas did not allow for a light and airy feel. The eye was drawn to to many places.
Differentiate your Investment through Design Features that sell - 08/16/10 11:42 PM
By now Staging has made it’s entry into the Real-Estate world, so what is all the Buzz about and why should YOU care as an Real Estate investor? Because in this DNA it is important to outperform your competition and Design features & Staging will enable you to appeal to the emotions of potential buyers and therefore help to speed up the sales cycle. So what can you do to stand out compared to competition?
Pictures speak more than thousand words. An example of an exterior transformation....
One proplem area was the Great Room, we suggested to create a conversation area around the fireplace and to remove the oversized Lounge chair, and take our all childrens furniture. added an unused Wicker chair in the Dining room brought in a coffee table from the garage and voila... Final suggestions: Replace TV & Wicker chair with the matching arm chair. Add some accent pillows

Keep asking and it will be given to you.... - 08/12/10 11:15 AM
One of my Marketing habits, when I am on the road and have time between appointments, is to stop at Realtor Offices to leave some flyer's or business cards. A couple of weeks ago I did just that , walking into a Brokerage. A nice Lady welcomed me and we had a great conversation. She promised to share my information with other colleagues in her office and that my visit was very timly, since they did not have a Stager on there team. I immediately offered to talk about the value of staging at one of there Sales Meetings. Last week (12 comments)

Portfolio: Living Room Projects - 08/11/10 10:41 AM
The Living Room/Great Room is off great importance when staging a home. It is often the first room to be seen. When a potential buyer walks into a home, they decide withing the first 5 seconds seconds whether that home "feels" right to them or not. Living-room Staging Tips: Create a Focal point, a TV is not a focal point, if there is a fireplace in this room, make it the focal point and the star of the show. Arrange the room in a conversational way, no chairs in far corners.... Let the room breathe. If it's crowded or hard to (9 comments)
Just was reading this great blog from Maureen Bray, a creative way to tell a story and convey the message.
Via Maureen Bray ~ Home Stager Portland OR ~ Room Solutions Staging ~ Portland Oregon (Staging that Sells Portland Homes): It happens to the best of us ... we get a little older, and signs of age start to creep up slowly but surely. A wrinkle here, a worn out part there, blotchy colors, and suddenly you're tired and feeling your age .... sigh .... it happens. Don't worry ~ with a little "cosmetic surgery" you'll be as good (3 comments)

Summer Camps, Pool Time, Visiting Friends and Family, Playtime in the yard and of course work? So I decided to start my days very early and end them late to get all accomplished and make all happy.
