As 2011 comes to an end, so do the tax credits for energy efficient home upgrades! Congress has not renewed the tax credits for 2012, so 'tis the season to make home improvements!
Kateri Callahan, president of the Alliance to Save Energy said, "Making efficienty improvements this year will lower home energy bills and improve home comfort for years to come, while also reducing 2011 federal income tax bills."
Home owners can take advantage of tax credits up to $500, if they are eligible.

The holidays are right around the corner, and Design2Sell doesn't think giving gifts for the holidays shouldn't be stressful or expensive. Everyone appreciates a homemade gift, especially when it tastes delicious. Try this recipe from Giada on the Food Network for Ricotta Orange Pound Cake. Baked in a beautiful new baking dish and wrapped with a ribbon, this is sure to please.

Design2Sell knows that you can't always control when your house is going to be on the market. The holidays are a busy time and with so much going on, you can forget that you're still trying to sell your house!
Keep these things in mind as you celebrate the holidays and have friends and family over this season.
1. Try and keep dirty shoes off of new or freshly cleaned carpets. If it's unavoidable, invest in inexpensive rugs and runners to cover high traffic areas and keep those carpets clean for potential buyers!

Sherwin-Williams Colormix 2012- Hot New Colors for 2012! - 12/05/11 09:08 AM
This week Design2Sell participated in a webinar by Sherwin-Williams. Their Colormix 2012 presentation forecasted  various colors and themes that we would be seeing more of in 2012. The foundation for the 2012 hot color wheel is nature inspired. Life blood reds, watery blues, growing greens, and natural neutrals. Overwhelmingly, the focus was on red, and its variations. Look out for purples. oranges, and bold color combinations! If you don't love red, no worries, you can still incorporate small accent pieces in 2012's hot new color palate!
