We call her Anita Tart Hart Fuller because she has a sharp tongue and it rhymes with Hart, her maiden name.
She just tartly chews us out when we do it and still loves and forgives us.
She was the happiest and most blessed child in Searcy Arkansas as she grew up.
She has been on many blogs on this blogsite and she comments on most of the blogs that I do. She lets me know if I've made a mistake. She helps find out the answers to hard questions about old Searcy AR. She has supplied lots of photos for this … (26 comments)

I was put on the spot!
Searcy Super Sleuths came to visit.
I met them at Doc's Grill and got grilled myself! This picture shows how serious they can be about their history.
From the right is Harold Gene Sullivan from Searcy originally but now living in Seattle. Next is Bob Fuller, the better half of our beloved Anita "Tart" Hart Fuller who is next in the picture. Then we find the man who can do anything, Don Thompson, and beside Don is Carolyn Sullivan. None of them still live in Searcy but have fond memories of the OLD Searcy … (18 comments)

Most of us in the 50's were doing rock and roll, weren't we?
But some were more cultured! I love this picture made in Searcy Arkansas First Methodist Church (I think) and definitely featuring Super Sleuth Anita third from left on the front row.
Some of them I recognize but some I don't. They need to be recognized. And perhaps we need to know why some of them are NOT holding violins but are definitely all dressed up!

I chided Ms Anita Hart Fuller when she said she used to borrow the family car and drive it with the odometer disconnected and the parents never knew what she'd done.
I said, "Anita, there was no such thing done way back then! What kid would know how to disconnect a speed-ometer?"
She has sent me proof. She found it in the funny papers so it must be true. Take a look at this and picture Ms Anita upside down in the floor board of a vehicle disconnecting the odometer!!

I really have nagged my husband through the years. He'd get up to go to work and from the hips up he'd be covered with so many clothes he couldn't possibly get cold. Gloves, hat, three layers of coats. BUT....from the hips down, he'd have on a single pair of bluejeans.
"Honey," I'd say, "Why don't you wear an overcoat? It would keep you warm all over...?"
He'd make some remark like, "Real men don't wear overcoats. Or Southern guys don't wear overcoats. Or why don't you just leave me alone!" Then he'd slam the door and leave.

Blog Super-Sleuth Anita Hart Fuller (at times she is Anita Tart Fuller because of her sharp tongue) found this wonderful old photo in her mother's collection of photos. Her mother lived to be 100 and we have done several blogs about Corinne Hart and her years of living in Searcy Arkansas.
This is a really old and beat up postcard but on the back there is written what appears to be Effice & Orb Horn. Perhaps those are the children shown posing with the calf. I wonder if this is one of those places where you get to ride a fake bull just … (13 comments)

My mail today was so relevant. I opened the envelope and this invitation fell out. It was relevant because just a day or two ago my blog buddy Anita Hart Fuller, who grew up in Searcy AR and still has a love for this town, had sent me photos of some scenes from camp at this very same Camp Wyldewood. Camp Wyldewood is located just North of Searcy and has been visited by Searcy children along with children from lots of other towns for as many years as I can remember. During World War II Searcy Arkansas had a real honor in that our own Margarete Neel was chosen as the Red Cross poster girl.
She was on Red Cross posters everywhere.
During a White County Historical Society special day of honoring Searcy's past history our Anita Hart Fuller was the one who posed as the poster girl on the court square.
Here she is in front of our White County Court House with books, information and an authentic poster from World War II.

Anita grew up in Searcy, Arkansas and I didn't. I've just been here for the past 40 years while she's been gone. She contributes to this blog with photos and comments. She shared this picture and others of old Searcy with me.
I knew I'd seen that house somewhere so I took off to find it, sat in front of several country houses while people honked and stared and I finally had to call her and ask her where the house was. The one with the little kid on the porch, I said.
