home inspector: Pretty is not always practical. These are stupid steps! Home inspector, what do you think? - 04/19/10 07:26 AM
Several houses in White County Arkansas have been built with steps like these pictured below.

Each time I see a new set I wonder why a builder or a bricklayer would allow these to be built.  Studying the ones above make me think that they are actually harder to build.  They've had to split the bricks to fit in the circular pattern.  Straight brick steps should have been easier.

I wrote this blog last year about my little godson Nutsy Wallenda, who is a squirrely home inspector.  He has been on Activerain for a long time now.  I think it is worth repeating.

home inspector: A sad public apology to a friend on the Rain, Mr. Charles Buell, Home Inspector - 12/07/08 12:22 PM
I have tears in my eyes as I write this public apology to Mr. Buell, Home Inspector, Artist, Bird Tamer, and blogger friend.  He has tamed this bird and called it the Raven.  Ooops, I meant he HAD tamed this raven and trained it as an assistant.
HAD is the sadness.  The bird came calling on me in Arkansas since I have bragged on her beauty.
