reo agent: Downtown Searcy Arkansas Van Atkins and other stores. Parade! - 04/16/11 09:45 AM
In keeping with my popular blog about a parade in downtown Searcy Arkansas, I found another parade picture.  It has elephants!  It almost makes me want to visit the zoo and see those giant animals again.
It also shows a part of our town that has changed so much in the last few years.  It was taken near the Van Atkins store.  Some of our newer blog readers may not remember these business locations. Some of the smaller names on stores may need to be supplied by Searcy Sleuths.
Note the advertisement on one elephant for White County Motor Company and it also gives … (16 comments)

reo agent: Girls in short shorts revisited. One of my most viewed blogs. Searcy Arkansas - 03/22/11 03:27 AM

One  of my most viewed blogs is the one with this picture.  Just for curiosity I went back and viewed some old blogs.  This blog was done on 11/12/2008.  Only 18 comments have been made on it and they were pretty funny.  However, the clicks on this blog number 5,459!  That's a lot of clicks for a little Searcy Arkansas blog.  So the question is why this blog has been so viewed.
Men seeking short shorts?
The shadow of Anita, my blog buddy?
Go back and review if you'd like or just enjoy this picture again.  As one commenter said, … (12 comments)

reo agent: The kids all gathered around this amazing object. Phone from the 70's? - 03/17/11 02:09 AM
What is that thing?
How does it work?
What a funny color.
I was showing an REO and someone had left a wall phone in the house.  A family with children came to view the house.  The kids all gathered around the phone (which looked just like the one below) and gazed and touched and wondered how something like that had worked.

Phones have changed so much that even I am amazed.  How could we have dialed all those numbers with a rotary dial?  Course we shortened to about 4 numbers at that time.  We bought 24' long cords so … (19 comments)

reo agent: Huge rocking chair in White County Arkansas. Paul Bunyan size person needed. - 03/10/11 12:16 AM
Romance is just a little town with no stores and not many people but it has a post office.  The post office mostly does business because of the name where the mail is processed.  They do a big business at Valentine's Day or when someone is sending out wedding invitations.
I went through Romance to find an REO property.  Romance didn't do much for me but this thing that I found on the side of Highway 5 did make my heart flutter.

That, my friends, is a chair!  That is a huge chair!  That is a chair that Paul Bunyan … (13 comments)

reo agent: Please! Don't shoot! It's just me, the harmless real estate lady!! - 06/19/10 02:34 PM
I've said before that you never know what you'll find when you get assigned an REO to go check out, change the locks and prepare for selling.
This week I found this guy.  He was staring at me through the woods and I practically let out the words used in the title of this blog.

He looks as if he's going to shoot me!  But he also looks as bug-eyed scared as I did.
