On the back of the picture it says Leo Stotts Hendrix College, Conway Searcy Ark, Stotts Pharmacist.
It is beautifully hand tinted and should hang in Stotts Drug Store if it is one of the original owners of the drug store.
Stotts has been redone within the last two years so that it has its old original look as shown here.  We in Searcy Arkansas appreciate the character that has been preserved by the owners of this drug store.

Stott's Drug Store. 
A trip to Stott's in Searcy Arkansas is always a pleasure.  You get to see all the old medical collectibles plus new fashion items.
Plus, you can say, "Charge it."
I couldn't help noticing the windows cranked open at the adjoining building, equally historic, and now called Quattlebaum Music.  Once I saw Greg Geroy, proprietor, up on a ladder actually painting the historic structure.  It is reportedly 160 years old! Read blog here.

I snapped a picture of those windows upstairs.  I'm sure Greg was letting it air out as it has needed to have done for what? 160 … (15 comments)

stotts drug store: Evolution of downtown Arch Street, Searcy Arkansas via postcard history. - 05/13/11 11:26 PM
Old postcards are so educational.  My collection seems to show the evolution of Arch Street on the court square.  Look at this one that dates to way way back.  Look at the third building from the left, just after Baugh's Drug Store.  It is red brick, isn't it.... and has architecture a lot like the first building on the left.

Now look at this one dated somewhere around 1912.  Look at the same building.  It must have been given a fresh coat of light paint.  But the architectural detail is still there and it sure looks like the first building.

It may not have been the same day..
But then...it could have been the same day..
SNOW excites people in the town of Searcy Arkansas.  It did then and it does now.
These two pictures seem to go together.  I feel as if someone was running around town taking pictures of the snow.  They gathered lots of folks in front of Stott's Drug Store. 

In fact, they may have gathered up everyone at this store and left the Citizen Publishing Office, just down the street, empty.  Note Sowell's Furniture.  You Searcy Sleuths will have to name the other stores from … (19 comments)

I've done two blogs with Stott's Drug store featured.  The drug store has been in Searcy at the same location for many years.  Going inside is also interesting because they have collectibles from the drug business all over the top shelf in the store.

They have recently remodeled the front to make it look old again! 

And looking through an old 1976 Searcy High School yearbook I found their advertisement and this picture. The children of Roger and Virginia Williams proudly pose in the family drug store.  Nancy is now a druggist herself and manages the drug store.  Lindsey is … (8 comments)

stotts drug store: Stott's Drug Store in Downtown Searcy has a new look. - 08/17/09 07:00 AM
I wrote a blog a few weeks ago about the reconstruction going on at our downtown Stott's Drug Store.  Stott's is on the Court House Square in Searcy Arkansas.
I showed photos of the changes going on in the front. 
Today I took photographs of the finished work.  Main Street Searcy is active in our downtown area trying to make the downtown remain lovely and vital.  They're doing a good job.
Notice the gold columns!  Notice the bench in front for resting and also notice the lovely flower pots on the sidewalk.  This beautiful new look reminds me of some kind … (23 comments)

This old photo taken by my friend Paula when she was doing a Girl Scout's photography project is one of my favorite of Searcy Arkansas during the 40's, I think.
I've posted various pictures that she loaned me for my blog.
This photo shows what is now Quattlebaum Music Store and what is still Stott's Drug Store on the right side of the picture which is the South side of the Court Square.
