This picture was taken 36 hours before Best Buy in La Mesa CA will even open for Black Friday sales. Lots of other stores have incredible deals too, but so far, this is the only place with tenters firmly entrenched out front.I drove by again this morning and the 5 tents had grown to 16, plus about 20 cars in the lot. Lots of folks wearing pajamas and just waking up from chilly night were milling about. Apparently the thought of grabbing a 42" LCD TV for $199 is enough … (2 comments)

The Full Measure Carolers will greet guests as they disembark from the shuttles in front of the new under-stage office at the Mt Helix Ampitheater. Tour the office, sip a hot coffee from Cosmos, enjoy baked goods from the SPRITES, have your photo taken with Santa Claus then find your seat for our traditional sing-along caroling in the amphitheatre. For the past 4 months, we've been fostering Gus, a very delightful dog whose owner no longer has a home or the means to care for him. I loved Gus the minute I saw him. My dog-loving son, however, has remained a bit detached, knowing that at any time, Gus might have to leave us and go back to his former owner. More than once, he's asked: "Do we really have to give him back?"
We've adopted many animals before, and most are older and are only with us a few years anyway. But Gus is 3 and full of life … (0 comments)

I wonder what percentage of REALTORS(R) never hire an assistant? I can't imagine life without help. And these days, it doesn't even have to be full time, or even someone in your owntown. If you can just hand off a few tasks to someone else who would actually enjoy doing them, your life can be so much sweeter.
