Yesterday was a wonderful day, made more wonderful by the fact that my parents are still here to celebrate with us. My Dad is 84, my Mom 85.
I have said on more than one occasion that I have what I have because of my parents' sacrifices. There were 6 of us in the family and WE DID NOT GET EVERYTHING WE WANTED! The City of Broadview Heights Relay For Life Team will hold its First Annual Bake Sale at the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Dec. 6th.  All proceeds go to Relay For Life. Donations of bakery (pies, cakes, cupcakes) are needed and volunteers as well.
New this year at the tree lighting ceremony will be FIREWORKS!

I'm sure many of you have been involved in preparing a meal for a family in need. Whatever it is, be it illness, job loss, or just plain need, a home cooked meal is something truly appreciated by those on the receiving end.
I, along with many women, have been making meals for a family experiencing an illness. In the past, I would send an e-mail to those I thought would be interested and then create a schedule and e-mail it to everyone on the list. I am in the Cleveland Ohio market that has been hard hit with foreclosures and some very long market time!
I had a client's home listed for sale for well over one year with approximately 1 showing every 2 months! They very much wanted to buy a home in another area so they proceeded to search for a renter for their current home. They got lucky and found a renter within a few days. I checked with the buyer's loan officer who told me they were pre-approved and ready to go.

I am in the Cleveland market where a great deal of our transactions are closing with fha loans.  Up until recently, a buyer could ask for as much as 6% towards closing and downpayment and in some cases even more. Most of the downpayment assistance has gone away, but the last few years leave us with comps that are "skewed"  I had one such offer on a home where the offer was for $270.000 making the seller concession ~$16,000. My question is this:  What is the real value of that home?
