Real Estate Tax Appeals in Cook County for 2-4 Unit Properties

Did you know that you should submit paper work to the Cook County Assessor's Office when you have suffered losses in your 2-4 Unit?
Part of the Real Estate Tax is based off of the income derivative for your property.  Let's say that your property is vacant for 4-6 months out of 12 months and the monthly market rental loss is $1,200/month.  That could be a loss of between $4,800 and $7,200 out of the total gross income for your building that year.

Sorry folks, I took no pictures.  Alan May was all over the place snapping like crazy and gave you bits and pieces during the entire session.  What I want to share with you is what I came away with from Chicago's Raincamp.

Alright Chicago, it is time we had a little heart to heart with the problems in your life when it comes to not having a job and possibly loosing your home.
Chicago Bank foreclosures are on the rise.  Whether you know it or not, it is not "cool" to let your home go into foreclosure.  Don't know any other way to put it but right straight out in front of your face.
