Should I Buy This Home if It's Not In The Best School District? - 01/31/11 06:48 PM
Should I Buy This Home if It's Not In The Best School District? There are a number of schools in Barrington, Inverness, Palatine, Kildeer and Long Grove that have very good report cards. With focus on the high schools the named schools that many buyers search for are Barrington High School, William Fremd in Palatine, Lake Zurich High School and Adlai Stevenson High School. In each of the areas the school boundaries play a role in school of attendance and some Barrington children do not attend Barrington Schools. They might go to Algonquin, Wauconda or Lake Zurich. In Hawthorn Woods some (3 comments)

We Would Like A Newer Home But Cannot Find One in Barrington-Can You Help Us Look In Other Comparable Areas It is true that because Barrington is a well established area there are not a lot of opportunities for new homes. Each area in Barrington has some new subdivisions but they are small and most are either semi custom or custom homes, so there are no homes you could buy and move into. You need to find a builder to build something just for you. Even some of the better known subdivisions in Barrington like The Glen of South Barrington or (1 comments)
How Will You Attract Online Buyers If I List My Barrington Home With You. Every Agent Tells Me They Have a Web Site. - 01/28/11 12:51 PM
How Will You Attract Online Buyers If I List My Barrington Home With You. Every Agent Tells Me They Have a Web Site. I understand your question because you are right, most if not all agents have a web site, whether it is provided by the company they work with or themselves. In today's real estate world agents need to have a web site but how well do they work? More importantly do they get visited and do they provide the visitors the information being sought. My website has some aspects not often seen in others in the Barrington real estate (4 comments)

That Barrington Creepy House - Let's Leave We Won't Be Buying This One. - 01/22/11 06:23 PM
That Barrington Creepy House - Let's Leave We Won't Be Buying This One. On a recent afternoon out with buyer clients we visited a home in the Barrington area that fit their needs in the right price range. Driving up to the front all looked pretty normal, snow on the ground but pathway cleared, car on the drive, no different from the rest. Just as I opened the door the owner arrived, they thought we had already been and gone but we were still within our time slot. They let us in and disappeared, very thoughtful. In my usual way I (3 comments)

Barrington Homes and Kitchens - Cook-tops In The Island - Do You Love Them or Hate Them Today's modern kitchens are loaded with appliances and it can be a squeeze to fit it all in with good work flow. An average kitchen in median sized Barrington homes might be 15 x 13 with 3 sides available for cabinets, appliances and pantries, perhaps even a desk. Kitchens this size usually have space for islands and with the added storage underneath can be Godsends for large families.
