First time home buyers need to be aware than homes under $200k in the Omaha area are no longer buyers advantage. The buyer advantage goes to the seller.
Even more expensive homes priced correctly are selling quickly.  I had a $312K home that sold within 2 weeks with multiple offers and sold over asking price !  If you like the home and price, don't waste time with a low offer. Chances are others also love the home and may be willing be write a contract that day. 8K First-Tme Home Buyer Credit , 4 Month Count Down - 08/04/09 05:04 PM
The first-time home buyer 8K tax credit ends soon Buyers need close on their new home by November 30th 2009.
To qualify for this tax credit, the buyer mut not have owner a home in the last 3 years. There are income limits. Single maximum is $75K and a married couple with an adjusted gross income up to $150K.
