NOT THE BUYERS MARKET THINK IT IS! - 02/29/12 06:13 AM
I was going to write a blog on this, but one of my associates at J. Philip Real Estate wrote the Blog below that reflected exactly what I was thinking. So Tom is letting me be lazy this morning by re-posting! Monday, February 27, 2012 Don’t believe what you see and hear on TV. This is not the buyer’s market you think it is!!! I’ve been working with quite a few buyers who are becoming more and more frustrated while searching for a new home. They have this misconception about our current market, and I believe the media is a (1 comments)
COMMUNICATION KEY TO SUCCESS - No excuses please! - 02/27/12 02:22 PM
While we were up in the Berkshires last weekend, we stopped by several antique stores that we frequent. At one of them, there was an old oak phone booth. Remember those! Well, we were chatting with the owner when she told us that a week before, a young couple came in with their child, who said “Mom, what is that big wooden box for?” She also happen to have a rotary phone that received the same curiosity question! Now, of course, this little boy was holding his I-phone that kept him busy with games while his parents looked around! When they (9 comments)
EGREMONT MA - Berkshires Weekend! - 02/23/12 12:19 PM
President’s Day weekend was more like fall weather than winter! Despite the 40 degree weather, the sun was out and it was a perfect weekend to be in the Berkshires. We regularly go to The Weathervane Inn. This 1785 renovated farmhouse was purchased about that (0 comments)

What is the difference between a job search and a home search?Having owned my own search firm for 20 years before entering the world of real estate, I started to analyze how the two fields are similar and where the differences are. Each has experienced similar challenges with the advent of modern technology and the internet. But, each has taken a different direction in terms of being able to help people! In the “old days”, both recruiters and real estate agents would sit down with a cup of coffee and discuss the needs of the client/candidate or seller/buyer. We would use personal (2 comments)

EXPLORING DOWNTOWN WHITE PLAINS, NY - 02/01/12 09:24 PM
DOWNTOWN WHITE PLAINS! From the pubs that line Mamaroneck Avenue including, Lazy Boy Saloon, Black Bear Saloon, Hudson Grille, Porter House, Brazen Fox to higher end restaurants including 42, or BLT Steakhouse. White Plains is definitely a destination to consider if you are looking to relocate out of NYC and be only 30 minutes away and keep all of the amenities that a “walking city” offers.
