For the week ending April 22, 2009
For the first time in weeks, the real estate trends in the Verona area took a nose dive. The average listing price of homes for sale in Verona fell 4.8% from $415,445 last week to $395,637 this week. The median sales price for the quarter also dropped from $259,350 last quarter to $259,000 this quarter. There are currently 268 homes for sale in Verona.

For the week ending April 22, 2009
The average listing price of homes for sale in Madison made a nice increase of 1.2% during the past week from $250,013 last week to $253,104 this week. The median sales price for the quarter dropped from $215,000 to $210,500. There are currently 1969 homes for sale in Madison. Foreclosures continue to hover close 180 each week.

For the week ending April 8, 2009
Once again, the upward trend continues in the Verona area real estate market. The average listing price of homes for sale in Verona rose 3.9% from $395,955 last week to $411,225 this week. The median sales price for the quarter dropped however from $270,000 last quarter to $259,350 this quarter. There are currently 253 homes for sale in Verona compared to 313 last week.

Although we've seen an upward trend in listing prices recently, this past week did drop slightly by less than .1%. This was an insignificant drop as far as I'm concerned. The average listing price of homes for sale in Madison went down from $249,527 last week to $249,435 this week. The median sales price for the quarter remained at $215,000. There are currently 2010 homes for sale in Madison, compared to 2396 last week. Foreclosures rose from 150 last week to 176 this week.
