For the week ending September 2, 2009
The average listing price of homes for sale in Madison is steadily hovering around the $255,000 range.  This past week there was a decrease of .3% from $256,677 last week to $255,985 this week.  The median sales price for the quarter dropped slightly from $187,500 last quarter to $185,900 this quarter.  There are currently 2319 homes for sale in Madison compared to last week of 2332.

Although we've seen an upward trend in listing prices recently, this past week did drop slightly by less than .1%. This was an insignificant drop as far as I'm concerned. The average listing price of homes for sale in Madison went down from $249,527 last week to $249,435 this week. The median sales price for the quarter remained at $215,000. There are currently 2010 homes for sale in Madison, compared to 2396 last week. Foreclosures rose from 150 last week to 176 this week.
