Today I met with one of my BFF's and she brought me a birthday gift. She had just gotten back from Hawaii and I had a feeling I was getting something from there.

Prancercise...Everyone is Doing This Wacky New Exercise Program I first saw this on the television network news last week and the TV anchors were even getting out of their seats and prancercising down the hallways. It has become an overnight phenomenon and it is something people can do by themselves or with a group. Joanna Rohrback started this a few years ago and even wrote a book. I have about 3 or 4 species of hummingbirds in my yard but mainly see the Anna's Hummingbird. Costa's Hummingbird has a beautiful purple iridescent head and sides. Such a regal looking bird watching over my yard. He has a shorter neck and stockier build. He sits way up high and makes lots of noise.

Even an Old Dog Can Learn Some New Tricks I belong to a MLS that encompasses a huge area of the state. It is called CRMLS and they are always updating the members with email class’s available plus taped and live webinars.
So last week, I decided to sign up for a live webinar and was amazed at some of the new information given. Search bar-at the top you can just put a few abbreviations in and the results of your search will pop up. Last night it was pouring rain but people got in line beginning around 1:00 a.m. to wait for the “Free Turkey” and all the fixings. They lined up at the Habitat for Humanity building in Loma Linda, CA.
Our Association of Realtors has been planning this event all year. The Morongo Indians donated 1250 turkeys to our association and we did fundraisers all year to buy the fixings.

Yesterday while driving to the beach, we saw this huge tree all by itself way at the top of a hill. So we decided to hike up there even though the temperatures were in the triple digits. We finally got to the top but ……..I forgot to take the looking down picture! I guess the heat had gotten to me.

TIME OUT This morning my dogs were in terrible moods. They were growling and not minding so they all three went on “Time Out” for a couple of hours and their moods really improved greatly. This is not typical so I am thinking the storm last night and the meteor shower may have affected their dispositions. Like my mother used to say “they were full of “piss and vinegar”. I have a pair of turtle doves that live in my backyard and their nest is on my roof. They are so cute and are always together. I thought at first they were pigeons but found out they were “Turtle Doves” and sometimes called Mourning Doves. They get along with the backyard birds, are not aggressive and do not make a mess like pigeons. Here they are huddled on the fence trying to hide from the hail storm we were having.
