Earlier this week, a Nashville Realtor found explosives inside her vacant listing. She had listed the home over a year ago after the owner died and it had been on the market since. She had made an appointment to show the home and arrived a little early and was straightening up when she opened up a cubby and saw what looked like explosives.

A week ago, a highly respected marathon in Boston, Mass. turned into one of the most catastrophic events in US history. People were confused, lost, injured, separated from others, and social media proved to be a big help.
 

 
Google, Facebook and Twitter immediately took over when spectators and marathon runners began grabbing their cell phones to make calls, to take video footage, shot pictures to send to social media sites and to go to the internet and find out any news.

This is baseball season so no matter what state you reside in or what your favorite team is, go watch a baseball game or two or three. The season has just started and there are a lot of games to be played.
 
California has 5 teams and I usually make an Angel’s game and a Dodger’s game even though the New York Yankees have been my favorite team since I was a little girl.

My friend sent me these pictures she took at a lounge called ‘Wine and Roses’ in Yucca Valley, CA.
 
These two roadrunners, "Elmer" and his honey hang around and are celebrities in Yucca Valley. They have been showing up for about 4 years. The one bird is eating some raw hamburger meat.
 

I found some interesting facts about roadrunners:
 
1.    They will hang around and adapt to humans quite well.

We signed up for some FREE cooking classes at William Sonoma in the Victoria Gardens Mall in Rancho Cucamonga. They have a kitchen in the front and conduct the classes an hour before the store opens. There were about 30 people and everyone seemed to have a great time and we all got a taste.

San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Detective Jeremiah Alan MacKay was fatally shot in the line of duty while apprehending a dangerous fugitive in the San Bernardino Mountains. Jeremiah was a 15 year Veteran with the department and was assigned to the Yucaipa Sheriff’s Station.
 
Jeremiah is survived by his wife, his 4 month old son, his 4 year old step-daughter, his mother, father and sister. Jeremiah was respected and loved by all who knew him.

Recently I was at the Ontario International Airport picking up a passenger and while waiting for the luggage, we were entertained by a talented group of kids. After doing further research, I found they were the Claremont High School Symphonic Band. It made the time go by faster waiting.
I read on Facebook that there is a group of volunteers who meet monthly to plan nice events like this for passengers and their rides.
