seo redlands: It's Starting to Look Alike Like Christmas! - 11/27/11 05:46 PM

Today, I drove to Rancho Cucamonga, CA, to shop at the local Christmas tree decoration store…Tai Pai.

This is a fantastic store with everything you can imagine. When I was leaving, it had gotten dark. Take a look at the pictures I took outside.

Where else but in California, do you see Palm Trees decorated like Christmas. Hum…maybe Florida or Hawaii too.

But I decided to give one of the pictures a little editing. What do you think?

seo redlands: The Inspirational Christmas Tree - 11/27/11 08:24 AM

We all seem to have the typical Green Tree with Red and Green ornaments so when I saw this tree, I thought what a great idea. An “Inspirational” tree to Love, Peace, and Dream! I love the colors. If you are not inclined to put this in your living or family room, maybe in your daughter’s bedroom as an extra tree.
I think it is so unique. I am going to make signs for my tree this year but I will stay with the same ornaments I already own.

seo redlands: BUYING vs. RENTING.....That is the Question? - 11/27/11 08:07 AM

“BUYING vs. RENTING.....That is the Question?”

After 6 years of housing market decline that has weakened the economy and depressed consumer sentiment, JPMorgan Asset Management analysts David Kelly and David Lebovitz reported “Housing: A Time to Buy,” seem to believe the market is changing and prices are rising.
Prices are low, Short Sale and Foreclosed properties are available at a reduced price, mortgage interest is at its lowest in years, and FHA loans are available to most first time homebuyers. All these factors indicate that this is the time to become a homeowner vs. renting for the rest … (4 comments)

©Nutcrackers are a Popular Christmas Tradition© 11.26.2011©
According to German folklore, nutcrackers were given as gifts to protect homes from evil.  They reflect power and strength and that is why most nutcrackers are bearing their teeth to keep intruders away.
Nutcrackers were actually made to crack nuts starting hundreds of years ago. European carvers first perfected the wood nutcrackers between the 1500-1900’. Medal nutcrackers were also constructed but they didn’t gain as much popularity as the wood ones.

Nutcrackers became really popular after the 1892 ballet by Tchaikovsky, the”Nutcracker Suite” that was performed in St. Petersburg, Russia. After … (10 comments)

seo redlands: Look Who's Hanging Around in the City! - 11/26/11 05:39 AM

While driving in Redlands, CA yesterday heading for the mall, I spotted a white bird in the middle of a field.  As I got closer, I realized it was a Crane! According to the International Crane Foundation photo gallery, it is a Whooping Crane.

Redlands is a city in the Inland Empire with practically no water. We practice water conservation but not considered a drought area. About 30-60 miles east of here are many golf courses or mountain lakes. Hopefully this bird will find water in the Mountain Resorts, Beaumont,Yucaipa, Palm Springs, or Rancho Mirage.

First of all, I would like to show you a picture of my latest purchase to our household. Every year I buy a few new ornaments for the tree, a new Nutcracker for my daughter’s collection, a Yuletide Santa, and a beautiful “Angel”. Here she is and she is 3.5 ft tall. Isn’t she lovely?

May the glory of the holiday be upon you and your family! May you have happiness, peace, contentment, and love. That is my wish to all of you. Please comment with your wish for the  holiday too?

seo redlands: Who Is Under the Covers? - 11/24/11 03:37 PM
Who is Under the Covers?
I walk into my guest room and what do I find? Some bad little dogs are rough-housing on the bed! You are all in trouble.

What are you two girls doing? You are not supposed to be in here.

That's right, you both are in trouble.

I am getting out of here. Tootie, don't hide.

I'm hiding!

*She thinks if I cannot see her, she is hidden!

Is it clear to come out now? Oh no, Mom is still watching.

I'm coming out.

What is that pillow … (28 comments)

While driving around in the Inland Empire, I noticed many beautiful trees with all the autumn colors. This first picture is the south entrance into Loma Linda from San Timoteo Canyon. The rest of the pictures are from Highland, Redlands, Loma Linda, and San Bernardino. Enjoy!

More trees with a multitude of golds, oranges, and browns.
