One of the most desirable areas to live in Los Angeles County is the small city of Bradbury, located in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains.  It contains two gated neighborhoods: the Bradbury Estates on the Western side of the city and the Woodlyn Community on the Eastern side.

For those familiar with LA geography, Bradbury is near the intersection of the 210 and 605 freeways.  You can see some of the homes from the 210 as you look to the mountains near the 605 exits.  It's adjacent to Duarte on the South and East and adjacent to Monrovia on the West.  It's about 15 minutes East of Pasadena by car.

Because of its prime location with gated seclusion, panoramic views, and relatively convenient freeway access, homes in Bradbury are sold for top dollar.  Malibu has the views and some areas are gated, but forget about convenient access to anything.  Beverly Hills has the exclusivity, but again freeway access is limited.  Because of the convergence of these and other factors, prices of homes that sold this year (only four so far) range from $1.59 million to $3.5 million as of mid July 2008.

One of the newest opportunities to move into this prestigious community is 2 Bradbury Hills Rd behind the Woodlyn Lane gate.  It's listed for $1.399 million, the best price per square foot behind the gates.  It's got 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and has a unique private park, which could be used for parties or barbeques or anything else you can imagine.  In my opinion, this house is really priced to sell and won't last long.

If you are interested in finding out more about this property or the other opportunities to buy in Bradbury, you can let us know by entering "Bradbury" in the "Area/Neighborhodd" field.  Or you can search for yourself on our website.
