Blackstone Park is located at 2112 14th Ave W in Palmetto. It's kiddie corner from the Terra Ceia Golf & Country Club.

Blackstone Park has a soccer field, softball field, skate park, playground, BBQ's, picnic tables, pavilions, places to bike, jog, roller skate and ride skate boards.
Blackstone Park is open from 6am to 11pm.
Pack a picnic lunch, grab your kids and your camera and come and enjoy Blackstone Park! Sit under a tree and read a book or watch the kids play!

activities events: Palmetto 4th of July Carnival & Fireworks - 07/05/07 10:50 AM
Yesterday, Palmetto celebrated the 4th of July fun style! I had a lot of fun there. It was fun to watch the kids play on the rides, listen to the music and sit on the pier watching the sun set as all the boats came into the Marina to watch the fireworks from their boats. And of course the fireworks topped it all off. It was an all around fun day!
There was something there for everyone to do.

OK, let me first start by saying how disappointing this park was! It was only $4 to get in, but for what we saw, that $4 was a waste of money!
The park ranger gave us a map of the park, so we set out to find a place to eat and enjoyed a picnic lunch before we set out on our 6.5 mile walk that would take us along the Manatee River.

The Village Of The Arts is located in Bradenton, close to downtown and located between 9th Ave W and 17th Ave W & between 9th St W and 14th St W.
There are about 40 shops, art studios and galleries located in this neighborhood.
The Artists Guild of Manatee, Inc was formed in the summer of 1999 to create the Village of the Arts in Bradenton. The idea for the community was to develop a neighborhood where artists of all kinds could live, work and run their businesses. 2 new stores have opened in the Ellenton Prime Outlet mall and 5 more are on the way. Adidas and upscale menswear provider Perry Ellis have already opened their doors and will be joined by five other retailers over the coming months. First up will be a Starbucks Coffee Co. scheduled to open this weekend. Leases have also been signed with J. Crew Factory Store, expected to open later in the summer; Kenneth Cole, which is planning a early fall opening; the Luggage Factory, set for early fall as well; and Dooney & Bourke, which plans to open in mid-summer.

Here is a list of things teens and tweens can do in Lakewood Ranch.
An outdoor movie night for teens on Friday from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. It will be Greenbrook Village's Adventure Park, where the PG-13-rated "Accepted" will be shown. The event is free and open to kids 11 to 16 years old, but not their younger siblings or parents.
