The cup is half full, we need to stop looking at this market as bad as the media is portraying it to be.  Interest rates are still at an all time low, there are a great selection of homes to choose from, and the playing field is finally even between buyer and seller.  With days on market increasing, it makes negotiating fun again.  Whether is be a lower price, seller assistance, flexible terms, in the end buyers and sellers tend to come to the settlement table happy.  This is also a great time for first time home-buyers to really capitalize with what's going on in the market.  They can get into a home with very little out-of-pocket money.  They can actually "think" about a home and compare it to other ones they like.  Buying is an emotional process and with how the market has been the past few years, buyers were almost forced into buying a home with fear of losing it being the motivating factor.  Simply meaning was that the best home for these people?
