peachtree road race: My Near Death Experience on July 4th....

Every year since 1970, Atlanta has closed down the main artery through town to host the country's largest 10K run. Known as the Peachtree Road Race, each year thousands of runners (and wanna be runners) participate and are awarded with a free t-shirt at the finish line. Thousands of spectators line the sidewalks through town to cheer the runners on. That really does motivate the runners on. As a previous participant, I can remember thinking "this must be what it feels like to be a professional athelete" with all the cheering going on. This year I plan to be a spectator, (4 comments)
