Many residents of Gold Canyon Arizona and surrounding areas of Apache Junction are seasonal residents. The summer population is actually about a half of what the winter population is. If a resident is not seasonal many year round people at least go away for the hot days of summer. (Oh those 110+ temp days!)

The fall-winter Gold Canyon Arizona Marketplace is getting ready to ramp up for a new season. Saturday October 17th will mark the date of the opening for the 2009-2010 season. In the first few weeks the events will start at 8:00 and run till 2..ish on Saturdays.The earlier time is for the first few weeks because it will still be warm mid day. Taking place until November 16th in Phoenix Arizona is a funny dinner theater group performing at the Phoenix Greyhound Park. The Copperstate Dinner Theater entertains with a funny play about a London cabby and two wives called - Run For Your Wife. Running on Friday , Saturday and Sundays there are two evening performances. The "snow-birds" are beginning to return to Gold Canyon Arizona. (Snow-birds = residents who leave for the hottest summer months to go to a cooler climate.) The weather is becoming more mild. And Gold Canyon is introducing an outdoor marketplace for small businesses, political candidates and individuals called Marketplace at Gold Canyon.
